My go to for a Manchester trip

Pros:

Always great to stay here. Staff is fantastic, super kind and willing to help with everything you could need (from reception to restaurant to house keeping people). Location is perfect, and building has this old industrial character which makes it a bit special

Excellent overall for 1 night.
Pros:

Lovely look & feel to the hotel excellent staff, special shoutout to Rafa who was superb & welcoming, couldn’t be better.

Disappointing from previous stays at this Hotel

The evening meal in V & A restaurant
The bed
Receptionist gave us a room near lift to help my elderly mum as requested

Cons:

The receptionist wasn't very supportive towards me over my elderly mum's comments about guests wearing skirts too short in the hotel.
There was no mirror near a plug socket in my room to dry my hair with the hairdryer.
You had to pay additional costs for an omelette at breakfast.
Breakfast staff not attentive as previously to guests, stood chatting on occasions, used the hotel for many years, the high standards are deteriorating, a lot more self serve now. Was told on entering breakfast if you want a pot of tea ask a member of staff but they don't approach you at the table, you have to get up and go and ask.
