The facilities were lovely, the location was great, and the staff were fantastic.
Very nice hotel. Smelled.good, room was very nice. Comfy bed. Good breakfast buffet. Very nice staff.
No safe or microwave in room.
Smell of dirty brass in elevator and old.mail shoot with dirt and debris looked bad in such a nice hotel.
Gorgeous hotel that was clean and our room was very spacious. Parking was very clear an easy. We also appreciated the SkyBridge to the concert venue.
There were little things in the room that needed to be updated and one of the elevators was out of service so the lobby was a little chaotic.
The hotel it self is obviously pretty and luxurious and the staff was nice.
Price for the stay was steep especially when parking and breakfast WASNT included. Kind of crazy. Bathroom shower was tiny, not just small- tiny. Disappointed but at least it was nice and clean.
A delightful hotel. Old world charm with new world amenities. As a Bonvoy Titanium member, was welcomed and engaged. All the usual accesses were first rate. All the people were welcoming and helpful. Not only a good choice in Peoria, it is the only choice for first rate accomodations.
Upon our arrival at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette (reservation 73652706), the hotel made a striking impression with its beautiful main entrance staircase, elegant wall paintings, and sparkling chandeliers. The initial appearance was impressive and inviting. Since I had accumulated Marriott Points, I decided to use them for this reservation, but in hindsight, it felt like a complete waste.
We traveled to Peoria because our son had a hockey game, and we wanted to arrive the night before to ensure he was well rested. When we entered our room, it appeared clean but was somewhat small and dated—just an average hotel room. After dropping off our suitcases, we went downstairs to grab a snack. Although the dinner menu sounded appealing, the meal itself was disappointing and subpar.
We spent some time walking around the hotel, admiring the paintings and architectural features. However, when we returned to our room, problems began. My son attempted to shower, but the shower was not functioning. He then tried to brush his teeth, only to find that the sink was barely draining. These issues left us with a poor first impression.
We contacted the front desk to report the shower and sink problems. Unfortunately, these issues were not resolved until 11:15 PM. Our intention was for our son to relax and get a good night’s rest before his game, but going to bed after midnight was unacceptable.
The next morning, we went to the breakfast buffet and found the area dirty. When we tried to order omelets at the “omelet station,” the man ignored us. After we requested omelets, he claimed he was not making any more, yet less than ten minutes later, he was preparing omelets for other guests. We paid $45 for a breakfast that was unsatisfactory and included spoiled fruit, making the experience both unhealthy and unpleasant.
The hotel failed to meet basic cleanliness standards, and it was clear that our room should not have been assigned to anyone given the shower was not working. This should have been caught by the staff prior to our arrival. It felt as though, because we used Marriott Points, we were given an inferior room.
Overall, the stay was a complete waste of money and points, leaving us disappointed with both the service and amenities provided.
During our stay, it became clear that the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette attempts to present itself as a high-class, elegant hotel. However, our experience suggested otherwise. The staff and service were disappointing, falling far short of the standards expected from a reputable hotel. Instead of the luxury promised, what we encountered was more reminiscent of a rundown motel. We strongly advise potential guests to be cautious and reconsider spending their money at this location, as the quality did not match its advertised image.
Love staying here for concerts as it is attached to the venue. It is pretty pricey though for downtown Peoria. I have paid less in downtown Milwaukee, WI. I do enjoy staying here though.
Price is a bit high for one night. Over $200
At 2 am my family awoke to the people in room 932 having a loud party and shaking the locked connecting door between our rooms, trying to get in. I asked them through the thin connecting door to stop, and they laughed and continued trying to get into our rooms they then started banging on the door. It was scary, particularly with my child in my room. I called the front desk several times reporting that the people in the room next to ours were trying to get into our room, and the front desk claimed they would send security but did not. The party simply continued all night. Scary and horrible. Will definitely never stay here again.
Convenient to civic center
Room very small for the price. Should not have to pay to park, room is already expensive. Breakfast wasn't good or hot for 20$.
Clean and cheery
