Sad and disappointing.
Pros:

Our room was lovely and large. It was immaculate. Good sports bar next door for NBA finals. The valets were amazing. They were knowledgeable about restaurants and pleasant to chat with.

Cons:

The elevator was out of order during whole stay. Construction was being done and the noise vibrated thru the hotel. Our parking was covered for inconvenience but that was just minimum. Hotel manager was juggling 2 other hotels so didn’t have time to speak with us even by phone. Never got an email from her either. Poor poor guest relations from management. Restaurant was closed. Quite a few homeless wandering around.

It was fine, nothing special, except the glass of champagne upon checkin.

Cons:

The housekeeping didn’t freshen up bathroom, leave towels or empty trash twice on a four day stay. We knew they didn’t change sheets, clean entire room. That suits us. But having to ask and then wait 30 minutes for someone just to hand us fresh towels isn’t good. And the valet, Michael, didn’t help us with the luggage all the way to the room. He walked away at the elevator-no words. Should be expected that valet helps with luggage upon check in as well as check out. Don’t catch our valet’s name this morning, but he was good. Front desk were great ppl.

Looks flash but is very mediocre
Pros:

Location is good.
Staff nice.

Cons:

My room over alleyway noisy trucks beeping etc 6-7am.
No breakfast tho entry for this hotel on booking.com app says they serve breakfast for $20.
Constant problems with room key.

Like the Terminator, I'll be back
Pros:

Beautiful old Department store, now a hotel. Great location. Within easy walking distance (0.1 mi) to Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Shops, restaurants and even The Museum of Costume Jewelry nearby. Staff efficient and pleasant. Valet parking a steal at $22/ day with unlimited in and out. Nicely appointed rooms with amenities such as fridge, coffee maker and quality toiletries. Ideal for a stay at anytime.

Highly Recommend the historic Haywood Park Hotel
Pros:

We have stayed at the historic Haywood Park Hotel several times and once again we simply loved it! (2 rooms this time with elder family and a toddler) The staff is fantastic! & the location is perfect for us- close to really good restaurants, and the rooms are very spacious! We prefer the Superior Suite for the extra space but the standard rooms are really good too. Comfortable beds, nice baths, etc. Highly recommend

Stayed there many times and was great, now horrid. Actually left before 2nd night and moved.

Cons:

Elevator was out, our room on the 2nd floor was right above the band playing until 11:45 and was LOUD. A big dog was barking inside the room down the hall all evening.

Don’t stat here until the elevator is fixed.

Cons:

Elevator is not working. Sounded like a 6 week lead time. Had to take the stairs any time I wanted to leave. AC in room was not able to be adjusted.

Best place ever!!
Pros:

This place is gorgeous and the best rooms I have ever stayed in. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are fantastic!!! The location is also great and it has the coolest little restaurant/bar attached to it called Fitz and the Wolfe. If you like live music, you can pick between two genres of music, one upstairs and a speakeasy downstairs along with pool tables. If that is not your thing, no problem because it does not interrupt your stay at the hotel is you just want peace and quiet. It is in the heart of downtown and you can walk to anything. There is also shopping, chocolate, smoothies, a spa and another restaurant all attached to it. It’s like a little mall. It highly, highly recommend this place. Beautiful place!!

Great staff, location and loved the preservation of buildings history
Pros:

Front desk staff was fantastic. Upgraded to a beautiful king suite!

Restaurant not open during week, although many close enough it really didn't hamper anything.
