The location is spectacular and the price is decent compared to surrounding hotels. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and the room I had was HUGE.
No water bottle refilling stations or water bottles offered. Also the carpet in the 4th floor hallway a bit musty, and the hotel is a bit dated but that reflects the pricing.
Everything in walking distance.
TV situation could improve. Offer streaming over cable
The location was great, I was able to walk to just about anywhere in Asheville from there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, addressing any problems I had promptly while being very approachable. The bed and bathroom were in good condition, and I enjoyed the bathrobe provided. At other hotels I've stayed at they make it a big deal if the key cards are lost, but here the staff had no problem helping me out when I left them in my room accidentally or they were demagnetized.
Some of the equipment was a little old, and I wish I knew about paying for parking before I arrived.
The room was wonderful. Lots of space, little kitchen area, beds were comfortable & pull out bed was perfect for us. It would have been nice to have bedding for the pull-out in the closet or something rather than having to ask for it.
The hotel has no bottled water for sale in the vending machines. We had to get bottled water outside the hotel. Not the biggest deal but not convenient either. It looked like there is a restaurant, but it didn't seem to be open (?)
Wonderful historic hotel located in a great location to experience Nashville. The property is beautifully restored. Rooms are large and very clean and well appointed. The staff is very helpful and responsive. We would stay there again without hesitation.
Amazing!!! We stayed in the Grand King for an anniversary celebration. Unbelievable space! Large living room, giant corner bedroom with lovely Mountain View’s and huge beautiful bathroom. The staff, especially front desk made us feel So Special! Look no further than Haywood Park!
Ashville and Haywood Hotel both were a disappointment. The town was actually on my bucket list. I didn't realize that there were buckets outside my window for all the homeless to relieve themselves throughout the night. Never mind the town garbage truck that backed up outside our window every 15 minutes from 5 am to 7 am to empty the dumpsters which have video cameras on them that film including into our room. We stayed for two nights and never got more than 5 hours sleep. When we complained at front desk they just said that they can't do anything about it. Of course they failed to mention this when they booked us, gave us the keys, and took our money. Lastly, the town was a disgrace. Outside every restaurant, store door and lying on sidewalks are a population of homeless that was shocking to see in small town south. I'm all for helping the homeless but that actually isn't helping them.
Would not answer their phone
Couldn’t park or get anyone to pick up the phone to offer suggestions on parking
The history of the building. The unique, spacious room layout and wonderful deep tub in the bathroom. The staff was wonderfully responsive. And at check in we were given flutes of champagne to toast our anniversary trip!
Our key needed to be replaced every day of our trip.
Our entire experience was marvelous! From the valet to counter we were very well taken care of. Complementary sparkling wine every day in the lobby and the ease of access with valet truly made us feel pampered. A room was magnificent and we will definitely choose to stay there again.
The connecting doorway in the room allowed us to hear intimate relations happening next door
The hotel had the best location, walkable to everything. We checked in on a Tuesday and stayed 2 nights. We had a king suite and a fabulous rate. Loved the history of the place, being it was department stores from back in the day and really loved the artifacts they kept and displayed throughout the hotel.
Our first day we explored the downtown area. The second day we visited the Biltmore because, well, if we didn’t, someone was bound to ask why not. It was great, by the way. It was our first time to this area and I regret not staying an extra night in order to do some hiking and ride along the Blue Ridge Highway.
All in all the staff is super accommodating and friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Asheville because this place hit all the right buttons for us!
Large, spacious rooms. An excellent value. Haywood Park Hotel is located ideally in the center of Asheville. It has a wonderful atmosphere. This hotel was in a former life a clothing and department store in the heart of town, and it now possesses the character so often missing in modern hotels. It is close to restaurants, bookstores and walking distance to the River Arts District and several nearby breweries. It is very well maintained and clean. Highly recommended!
Great location. Wonderful room. Attentive and helpful staff.
Dana, Braydon, Seth, Susanna, and Daimon were wonderful to us throughout our stay at Haywood Park Hotel!! They made our stay perfect from start to finish. There were two small inconveniences: Our key cards continually didn’t open our hotel room door and our room refrigerator never worked. Other than these two issues, our time at this beautiful hotel was amazing! Our room was huge and the beds were so comfortable. My husband and I will definitely stay at The Haywood Park Hotel the next time we are in Asheville!!
Perfect stay: excellent location with an easy walk of many restaurants and shops. Friendly, helpful staff, especially the evening valet and the two folks at the reception desk. Room was immaculate with everything we needed and more. We were surprised by a glass of bubbly on arrival and a bag of local popcorn on departure. Would definitely stay again!
Excellent for downtown experiences with spacious rooms, friendly service and front desk was very accommodating and pleasant ! Valet service was wonderful and so speedy! Will come again and tell our friends!
