Absolutely not worth the high cost. Much nicer properties in the area.

The bathroom tub wouldn’t drain. The elevator was very small and very slow but it’s an old property.

Toliet paper wasn’t on a dispenser first day.
Only received 3 towels on second day despite being 4 guests.
Called for additional towel and nothing came. Needed to use a hand towel or would have been late for dinner reservation.
WIFI hardly receptive on the 4th floor and far side from the reception.
Showers on the 1st floor by pool were moldy.
Restrooms were not very clean.

You pay a lot for location. Hotel is tired. Other hotel staff beside the one I named were nice and helpful.

The morning clerk Michael took a long time to have the shower issue addressed. Kept asking more questions each time I inquired. Repeatedly gave excuse he was busy, though I approached him early in the morning with issue. For the price, rooms should be nicer and attention paid to the run down details.

Disappointing
Pros:

Location great. Room was dirty - mold on shower curtain, toothpaste spatters in mirror and walls, etc. had to crawl under bed to get bedside lamps plugged in. No dehumidifier in bathroom.
Elevator took forever. Always a wait.
Charged $20 for an umbrella that flipped inside out and tore within 10 yards of exiting hotel to meet our taxi.

My favorite hotel to stay at in Newport because of its location.

Cons:

This my be a booking.com problem. When I booked, the site says parking is included but the hotel wanted to collect $35 per day for parking on my check out.

Get it together. We stayed here 5 times over the years and never will again

So run down. Our shower had two massive bubbles from the bathroom above us. They came to fix it and made it worse. No fault to the engineer. It’s the property management and owner that should be completely ashamed!!!!!! We stayed in May as well and had similar issue with under the tub when you stood on it you could feel flooding under the floor. Repulsive. Yet we still decided to give it another chance.
