Overall we had an amazing and relaxing stay.
Pros:

The history and beauty of the inn is the reason we chose to stay there. The staff treated us to a luxurious and welcoming experience. The restaurants were wonderful too.

The place was not clean the floors had a pee mildew smell would never stay there again.

Horrible noice through the night of homeless being arrested and screaming through the night.

I love the mission inn. The ambience is great and it’s close to so much in downtown. I liked the bars in the hotel.

Cons:

I had booked a room through booking that showed 2 couches and a large living space beside the bed. When I got there they told me only one room like that was available and that I’d have to wait to get into it. It was already 7 pm. By the time they called me to tell me that the room had a leak with an unbearable mildew smell, it was already about 7:30. By the time I settled and went downstairs around 8 pm. The kitchen was closed. Not to mention I had already cut myself while trying to take a bath (which obviously wasn’t their fault). Just over all a pretty bad experience. The tub also kept draining when I was trying to take a bath. Very dirty bathroom with stains.

location. its pretty from outside.

Cons:

I really cannot believe that I met such an unpleasant, unfriendly, even hostile staff. Usually in the US, service is absolutely the best—but not here. From reception to the restaurant, it was unusually hostile. The rooms are super small, though the mattresses are very comfy.

A dreamlike place!
Pros:

Staying at the hotel is like living in a castle—you can really feel it and even smell it; I loved it.

Cons:

I don't think I got the room I had booked; it faced the street—which wasn't bad at all—but I'm almost certain I wasn't given the right room. It certainly bore no resemblance to the photo shown on Booking. None at all!

Like stepping into the past
Pros:

In my lifetime the Mission Inn has been threatened with demolition twice. It is absolutely beautiful and well-preserved; we are so lucky to be able to stay there. The staff is very accommodating.

An unforgettably lovely, comfortable hotel.
Pros:

The historic decor, including stained glass and antique furniture, was beautiful. The fanciful mission architecture was striking. The view of it out my window was dreamlike.

Sublime hôtel historique haut de gamme

Hôtel absolument sublime, haut de gamme, historique, avec un cachet dont très peu d’autres établissements peuvent se vanter. Chaque recoin de l’hôtel est charmant, tant qu’il est difficile de le quitter : on voudrait tellement prolonger le séjour !
