This is such an Exceptional hotel! Gorgeous with awesome food too. Ramone and Adam are some of the friendliest people I have ever met at any hotel! If your going to visit Ontario, California The Mission Inn is the place to stay!!
The staff and room was excellent. The restaurant at the steakhouse was one of the best meals. I've had couldn't ask for friendlier. Staff can just put a smile on your face.
Great hotel with such a cool history.
We recently had lunch at the Mission Inn’s Spanish restaurant. Over the past 30-plus years, we have dined at the Mission Inn’s restaurants numerous times and have consistently enjoyed delicious food, exceptional service, and the elegance of this beautiful and historic setting. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was highly disappointing.
The calamari appeared to have been cooked in oil that was not fresh. Although herbs were sprinkled on the plate, they did not seem fresh either. The recommended carrot soup had a consistency similar to baby food, topped only with a drizzle of cream and a few herbs. After eating just a couple of spoonfuls, I was unable to finish it.
Service was also noticeably lacking. During our meal, approximately 25 to 30 staff members passed in and out of the dining room, yet many seemed to lack clear direction or purpose. Despite the number of employees present, the attentive and polished service we have come to expect from the Mission Inn was missing.
The menu also seemed considerably more limited. I had dined there during the early stages of the ownership transition and, at that time, the food was still very good. I ordered the Cobb salad, and everything was fresh and delicious. In contrast, during this most recent visit, the only item I would want to have again was the dinner rolls.
Although the Mission Inn remains architecturally beautiful, the atmosphere no longer seems to convey the same sense of elegance and luxury it once did. I understand that a change in ownership can bring challenges and require a period of adjustment. However, I sincerely hope these concerns are addressed. The Mission Inn is a treasured landmark and a true jewel of the community, and I would be deeply disappointed to see the quality
I love the mission Inn however my last experience was horrible
The room. However I did not like the manager Vanessa she was rude, did not help and did not return my call.
Lovely as always/ extraordinary hotel. Staff was fabulous . All restaurant experiences were great and delicious. I highly recommend doing a tour - Tammy was truly amazing- knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. You should definitely add a stay at this beautiful and historic Inn to your list of things to do.
Location and our room was amazing
Drinks were very pricey and we were told breakfast was over at 10am and was 9.30
Everything was great. We had a lovely time and the grounds were amazing.
The only downfall was upon entering our room's bathroom there was a used razor and hair in the corner. It was pretty gross.
Staff was amazing. The building and grounds are fun to explore
I wish the Presidents Lounge was more classy to match its history and its cocktail menu. We looked forward to going there and turned around after seeing it
The property was beautiful, and the interior of the rooms was finished to a very high standard. A nice touch would be to provide two additional bottles of water in the fridge, along with extra tea and coffee.
The reception team, spa staff, and bell staff who assisted with our luggage on arrival were all exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel well looked after throughout our stay.
The spa treatments are very expensive, and I would recommend reviewing the pricing. Given the relatively limited spa facilities compared with other hotels, it doesn't represent good value for money. This is a real shame because the spa staff are highly professional, friendly, and provide an excellent service.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. Unfortunately, it was of a much lower standard than expected for a property of this quality. The Mexican restaurant, in particular, was very poor. Improving the food and dining experience would make a significant difference and greatly enhance what is otherwise a beautiful property.
Amazing location the good restaurants
Too loud of noise in room
