La ubicación, el personal, desayyno
La cama a pesar de tener plumon adicional, sonaba cada vez que me daba vuelta en la noche. Creo debiera haber renovacion. Al lado del bidet no hay jabon y es incomodo buscarlo cuando necesitas lavarte.
The staff were really lovely always helpful .
The outdoor swimming pool is great - good size and never too many people.

The condition of much of the hotel is truly shocking and I don't know how they can be rated as a 5 star hotel, many areas look like they were last renovated in the 70s if not earlier. I had read some negative reviews on this point but thought people were being picky given the high expectations you would have from sofitel however I was the one in the wrong. It was so bad that when I arrived I contacted Booking.com to see if I could cancel something I have never even previously considered. T he room smelled musty as did the bathroom, probably given the old flooring and furniture (ex bed). The balcony was dreadful and I wondered if it was even safe given the condition. Even basic things were beyond them, e.g. the fridge in the room didn't fit in the cabinet it was in and the two doors opened in opposite directions so it was hard to open and the outer door wouldn't shut; curtains not wide enough for windows. The breakfast was basic and not great quality there was a strict embargo on using more than one item of cutlery which I never seen before inc in 2/3 star hotels. Shower was over the bath with the mixer at the bath level, virtually impossible to regulate the temp. No proper international TV; balcony furniture dirty; virtually no aircon despite claiming to have it. All of this would be totally fine in a 3 star hotel given the location and pool but in no way is this a 5 star hotel with the exception of the staff who were lovely. I'm considering whether they should be reported for misleading advertising.

Personnel très attentif et d'une très grande gentillesse.
Dommage que l'architecte de cet établissement ait utilisé des matériaux ne supportant pas les ambiances salées, faut pas être trop malin quand on construit un hôtel face à l'océan, surtout celui-ci, pas forcément très calme.
L’emplacement est idéal, la vue partielle sur l’ocean, le son des vagues ,le confort de la chambre. Tout était nickel. Une chouette déconnexion.
It was very dated and rundown needs refurbishing big time
The beds and bedding were super comfortable and the room size was generous. Location was good . Staff very pleasant.
The outside is very disappointing and shabby. We were at basement level and the corridor smelt terribly damp. The hotel is very tired outside and a bit shabby inside too. Breakfast was average. Biarritz on the whole is an expensive place to stay so for the price it was poor but as expected. Wouldn't rush back to that hotel

Las alfombras en algunas partes gastadas, mal hecha la limpiezas de las piezas tuvimos que pedir que las hicieran de nuevo.
La piscine intérieure était froide et l’ensemble des équipements paraît vétuste, avec de la moisissure présente un peu partout. Les douches dégageaient une forte odeur d’urine. J’ai par ailleurs payé 50 € supplémentaires pour une vue sur la mer, alors que cette vue n’était que partielle — et elle l’était déjà au moment où j’ai réglé ce supplément.
Vu de l’extérieur, le bâtiment présente de nombreuses traces de rouille. Les équipements comme le spa sont mal signalés : il faut demander à la réception pour découvrir qu’il se trouve dans la salle de sport. De même, il est impossible de trouver le restaurant sans demander son chemin lorsque l’on vient des chambres situées aux étages supérieurs.
Au vu du tarif pratiqué, le rapport qualité-prix est très décevant : on peut obtenir une véritable expérience de luxe pour la moitié de ce que j’ai déboursé. J’ai le sentiment que cet établissement a pu être un bon hôtel dans les années 1960, mais qu’aucune rénovation n’a été entreprise depuis. Le bain n’était pas suffisamment chaud et le débit d’eau particulièrement faible.
