Pros:

The hotel has excellent location and if you offer the lake, the breakfast buffet was excellent however, the rules and the corridors and the lobby were outdated

The decoration was outdated and depressing

Unfortunately, my stay at the Barchetta Excelsior in Lake Como was disappointing. The interiors felt old and outdated, and the rooms were quite small, making the overall experience less comfortable than expected. The biggest issue was the air conditioning, which was not working properly and made the stay even more unpleasant.
For a hotel in such a beautiful location, i expected a much better standard of comfort and maintenance. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, and the hotel would benefit from updating its interiors and improving its facilities. I would not recommend it based on my experience.

Pros:

Location is central with beautiful views.
Room was good, beds very comfortable. However, the down side is the shower is in the bath and bath was small.
Breakfast was generous with a wide of variety of food.

Great location in center of Como. It was a nice hotel. Very clean. View from our room beautiful. Met our expectations.

Cons:

One of the elevators didn’t work. Took us a half hour at check out time to move luggage to the lobby.
