I booked this hotel and it was a complete misrepresentation. I always look at hotel website before I book on booking.com and what we saw on arrival wa nothing like the website. I left with my family straight away. The rooms smelt musty and the bar was awful and nothing like the restaurant menu on the website. You need to take this hotel down and stop.promoting it. Even the poor bloke on reception admitted the website was misleading and needed.taken down. My request for refund ao fsr ignored. It brings you into disrepute booking.com
Everything. Complete mis sell
Gardens
Hot night no way to open windows or regulate temp in room
Location was very good.
Bathroom wasn’t great, grouting around the bath needs to be removed and replaced as it was pretty disgusting. Round washbasin took up way too much room and nowhere to put anything. The bar area is quite small and when they have tour groups in there’s not many seats!
Cheap
The hairs in the beds and under the sheets, the stains on the pillow and mattresses, the expell air in the bathroom not working, the TV glitching out and unusable of an evening (though it worked fine in the morning), the thin walls so we could hear every conversation/noise from outside in the hall and other rooms. One bed didn’t have a plug socket so no charging a phone/any electronics by the bed
Good location with Tesla charging points - useful. Rooms were good although a bit tired in places. Bar area is nice enough
Pool facility is decent. Plenty of parking
Staff - not very welcoming
Breakfast - poor
The breakfast room was great and the breakfast too, indeed.
La piscine et le confort de la chambre.
La fenêtre de notre chambre qui est verrouillée.
Great location for visiting family. Comfortable quiet room.Set in nice grounds. Nice that there was a leisure club. The bar shuts at 2100 hrs so the hotel is quiet overnight. Hotel helped with getting a taxis into city centre. Dundee has a great pub scene vibe with some bars having live music
They stop serving meals about 20 00. The bar closes at 2100.. Breakfast was reasonable price but limited selection. No fruit on one of the mornings. The waitress was doing breakfast check in, clearing tables, stocking up so at times there was no bread, cups, milk ect ,felt sorry for her. She was cheerful though..
everything avrage
a bit old-dated, the welness area was old and small - I think the whole place needs some renovation.
the price was quite high for the standard
I don’t get some of the negative reviews, the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant, the rooms were modern, clean, quiet and comfortable and the pool, sauna and steam room were most welcome, and clean. We don’t try lunch, but we had a superb breakfast. It was just me and my 12 year old son who travelled and the gardens were a delight to wander around in and while it is dated in parts, it’s still a nice place to stay, whether it’s for work or to relax or something a bit different. I’d certainly stay here again and I thought it was a lovely touch not charging me for my son’s breakfast and even if they had of, it would have been worth the money. There is lots of parking too for larger vehicles if needed and while we didn’t use the bad area, it looked nice and comfortable with a nice atmosphere to it. I highly recommend this place if your staying in and around Dundee.
Later tea times and pool times for kids, we arrived just after 7.00pm and using the pool after checking in after a long drive would have been nice. As it was we decided to have tea away from the hotel, but if the food was as good as our breakfast it wouldn’t have surprised me.
Friendly staff
Nice clean room
Only one small issue, the heating system made a very loud strange noise for a few minutes that would have been very annoying if it was any later than it was. . 21:30
Lovely bar and restaurant. Beautiful gardens.
Room initially had a very noisy radiator but we were moved quickly to the other side of the hotel.
Room was hot and noisy,
