This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. What started as a relaxing evening with friends and family quickly turned into a very uncomfortable and disappointing situation.
A small group of us were sitting in the lobby area enjoying a few beverages and having normal conversations. We were not causing any disturbances beyond casual conversation, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. At one point, the front desk employee, Andrea, approached us and asked us to lower our voices because she said she couldn’t hear her phone. We immediately respected her request and quieted down without any argument.
Later in the evening, we all went to our rooms and went to bed. However, sometime after that, we were suddenly awakened by calls and were confronted by the same employee, Andrea, who was threatening to call the police on us. This was extremely confusing since we had already gone to our rooms and were asleep. She said she had guests leave and also call and complain, yet we saw her on the phone once and never saw anyone leave. Instead of calmly explaining any concerns or attempting to resolve the situation professionally, the interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful.
The situation escalated quickly, and we were ultimately told we had to leave the property immediately. Being forced to leave the hotel in the middle of the night at around 2:00 AM was not only shocking but also incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. We were left stranded without a place to stay at that hour, despite having done our best to comply with the staff’s earlier request.
Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and poorly handled. What should have been a simple and respectful interaction from hotel staff instead turned into a stressful situation that completely ruined our stay. I would strongly encourage management to review how situations like this are handled so that future guests are treated with more professionalism, communication, and respect.
Pool
The beds in room
It being clean
Well no hot water. My daughter hit her head in the pool playing. The door latch on the door was busted. The phone cord was broken to the phone
We did not have any hot water. The whole place didn't.
Breakfast was good. Quality was good even though we came near the end of the time.
I discovered that historically this location has problems with their "cable" service during inclimate weather. By chance the NFL playoff games were on Saturday night. Sadly that portion of the programs were out due to the weather. Amazingly service came back around halftime. Staff indicated this is an ongoing problem that your supplier cannot repair. I am surprised you have not addressed this issue with your reputation for quality.
The lady in the evening checking us in was awesome and had great customer service.
The Breakfast was not the greatest not much to select from, most of it was empty and it was only 7:30 in the morning. It was a good thing they had waffles.
The other thing is that we had dirty towels in a closet, but the room looked decent. I don’t take pictures. I should have taken pictures.
The common areas of the hotel were dirty and unkempt, especially the stairwells. After staying at this location my wife had numerous bed bug bites surface all over her body and of course the Fairfield's response was deny, deny, deny. We tried working with the General Manager of the hotel, so this wouldn't happen to others. She said she was going to provide some type of compensation, but has yet to do so nearly seven weeks after the stay. We have always had good luck at Marriott properties, but you may want to avoid this one. 0 stars!
Stay was great. Service was great and the rooms were clean. The only two issues that I had were that, there was a lot of noise because kids were running in and out of their room. The second issue was that there were a group of men who were bbq like it was a tailgate. They brought their own grill and everything. It looked unsettling especially since the hotel next door was torn down and the wreckage was still there.
This is by far the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. Marriott - what are you doing letting these people use your brand?
Rooms: one word - broken down. Moldy bathrooms. Plumbing that literally sings for 5 min after every toilet flush. Poor housekeeping.
And yes - not competent staff. This is a trifecta of bad. Avoid at all costs.
I pulled into the parking lot and it the entire place looked unsafe and disgusting so I never even checked in. I went across the highway to a different hotel that was safe and clean
It was unsafe for someone traveling alone, and very disgustling dirty
Room was great. Soacious for me to move around as im in a mobility scooter. Many places to choose for food.
Comfortable.
Staff
Breakfast was very good. Staff was pleasant.
I was in a handicap accessible room, and I appreciated it; however, it was difficult getting into the shower because there wasn’t a handle to steady myself. I was worried that I might fall.
Clean, elevator was easy to find, warm shower, shampoo & conditioner in bottles attached to shower wall, coffee maker available
The front desk worker couldn’t figure out why my receipt wasn’t printing, until the manager explained that third party reservations work that way. It seemed to me like something was overlooked in the training program. The result: I had to wait 10 minutes while she figured it out.
