If you go to Bellevue on the new light rail this hotel is walkable from Wilburton Station. I had a day procedure at Bellvue Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and stayed at Hotel 116 the night before so as not to battle rush hour at the appointment time. Overlake Hospital is right across the street from Kaiser and both are walkable to the Hotel 116. It was nice, I could see the light rail from my window, not a noise issure. The staff was friendly. The restaurant next door was also accesable from the Hotel without goining outside at night and it was super nice as well. There is a lot of parking. When we called for a ride share they came withing 10 minutes. When I asked the person at the check-in for a recommendation of a taxi they said some guests called taxis and were cancelled. It is a hassle for the Seattle taxi companies. The city of Bellvue has no taxi of their own, they have to come from Seattle. Uber and Lyft are a better option over there. If I had a reason to book here again I definitely would. It was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable.
It is near a lot of stores and restaurants
Location is great. Easy access to highway. not bad to drive to downtown area.
Smell in the room was horrible. entire room with strong perfume. hard to sleep.
On arrival night the old TV didn’t work and when reported to the front desk, she was indifferent and couldn’t help.
All needed was a new remote!
Dated, dark, indifferent staff
.3mile walk to the light rail and 10min drive to HS for a football camp.
The location was quiet and safe and lots of near by things to walk to.
The location of this hotel is great. However, when I opened my "hotel" room door, which was outside the main building and very motel-like. I was very shocked. I felt like I was just delivered a bait and switch. The room was very old 2 double beds, that looked like they were years old, and I hadn't seen that thin or hard of a mattress in years. These were not the pictures on the websites. We went to the front desk and asked if there was another room, and we were told they were sold out. The only consolation was the front desk worker's honesty about how all of the pictures on the website were of the few updated rooms and clearly knew understood why were not happy. We stayed, but only because it was late and we had an early morning. Be aware that if you book, you better check to see if it is one of the updated rooms or be prepared for a low-level Motel 6 room.
Convenient to downtown bellevue
It was incredibly noisy being next to the highway with seemingly no soundproofing. The people in the room next to me I could hear everything they did from the time they got to their room at 11 pm. I could even hear the microwave turn on and running in addition to their talking and watching tv all night because there was no soundproofing.
The room smelled bad. The cleaning was not great. The room was renovated somewhat but was in need of a substantial renovation e.g.: replace a damaged bathtub. The photos online are AI. Much more dingy in person.
Good location. Convenient for using the light rail. Front desk staff are always friendly and informative. Sarah who checked us in was excellent.
The air conditioning unit was very loud. The refrigerator did not work very well. Thick ice built up inside.
The lobby.
The room. Stains, a lot of wear and tear.
We stayed here before and after our cruise to Alaska. We highly recommend Hotel 116. It is in a perfect location even if you do not have a car for your trip. Walkable to the light rail, restaurants, shops and nice grocery stores. It is affordable, in a prine location, has a great atmosphere with amazing and helpful staff. If they have availability they will even let you check in early with no extra charge, this worked out great for us the day we got off the ship. The rooms are nice, spacious, quiet and very clean. We always choose Hotel 116 for this area and will definitely will be back again.
