We travelled from Alberta on the “red eye”. Joyce took the extra time to ensure we could get early check in. The rest we got due to her going above and beyond really made our weekend special!
- The cleanliness
- The decor & layout of the hotel 5*
- the breakfast
- the location
I would have liked...
- more than 3 hangers
- extra blankets
- more pillows in the room
Very disappointed in the size of the bed...it should be stated that the bed is NOT a queen bed
Hotel location makes it easy to walk to the waterfront and the Citadel. The breakfast offered is good and includes many options. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Be sure to check out the lovely rooftop patio!
Location great for walking around
Great staff. Nice room. Very clean, and well looked after. Excellent value for money. Lots of lovely local restaurants.
Bit of an uphill walk from seafront
We had a short two-night stay at the beginning of our holiday in Nova Scotia. Everything was excellent. Check-in was quick and welcoming. Our room (suite) was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The continental breakfast choice was good and the food quality was also good. The hotel's location was excellent - close to the Citadel and walkable to the Harbour waterfront with plenty of restaurants nearby. It was also quiet at night. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed at the Cambridge Suites hotel in Halifax last weekend. In short, a very enjoyable stay. We had a lovely welcoming greeting by a lady named Charvi on the front desk, a great suite and the breakfast selection is hard to fault. The hotel is kept extremely clean and tidy; it was good to see many cleaning staff at work on the floors. There is a nice roof terrace and a vast underground carpark. The place is centrally located for Spring Garden Road shopping, the waterfront and the Citadel. The hotel is well-worth considering if you are planning a visit to Halifax.
I always choose CS in Halifax, I love its location. It’s a block away from everything so easy to just park your car and forget it. The service at the hotel is always top notch. Checking my last two stays (Jan and June) we had the good fortune of Amber checking us in, she is always so helpful and friendly. The hotel is comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere. Rooftop patio with harbour views a bonus. The rooms are clean as a whistle just could use a little updating. With Halifax hotel prices this hotel meets the value and the cost.
Great location, staff friendly, rooms comfortable.
Parking fee $27 !!!
Sausage and Bacon $11 as an addition to Scr eggs at breakfast
Location and suite configuration allowing more space.
Not all the room configurations are the same. Some divided in two; some with obscured views.
Right in the heart of downtown Halifax. You couldn’t ask for a cleaner or more well appointed suite. I was blessed when Amber upgraded me to a top-floor, harbour-facing, king suite with a full kitchenette. I probably waited one second before Amber welcomed me at the check-in desk. When I arrived for my inaugural trip to Halifax, there was a torrential downpour. When Amber said I had been upgraded to a harbour-facing suite, I laughed because I definitely couldn’t see the harbour for the rain. When Amber mentioned the roof-top patio, she also joked about, “If the rain ever stops.” The next morning, there was a heavy fog, so I still couldn’t see anything. Then, the fog cleared, the sun came out, and I indeed had a beautiful view of the harbour. My suite also included doors separating the sitting area from the bedroom. When I first arrived, it was nice to be able to shut myself off from the rain outside. And the kitchenette was amazing. I live in an apartment and the fridge was the same size as my apartment fridge. It was also the first time I had ever seen a dishwasher in a hotel kitchenette. The Keurig machine worked and they even had it stocked with tea. For wine lovers, there were two chilled bottles of wine in the fridge and one on the counter. I was also given the option of just having my room attended to after my four-day departure, which was much more relaxing. I also appreciated the breakfast buffet options downstairs.
we loved our recent 3 night stay at this conveniently located and modern hotel! we also loved the hot tub and sauna and rooftop outdoor deck. the included breakfast is excellent and the servers are so friendly! we appreciated the easy and professional checkout experience and the helpful front desk staff Eddlie, Joyce and Chaenui.
Great location. Clean. Helpful and courteous staff. Yummy breakfast. Good value. Chaavi, Eddie, Simran were very friendly and helpful to book tours and taxis and restaurants.
Stayed here for couple of days. Good location close to Citadel and easy to walk down to boardwalk and museums. More of a walk back up hill! Plenty of places to eat round about. To someone from UK feels like an American hotel rather than Canadian (generally more homely). Room was large with microwave and sink and clean though air con quite loud. Breakfast included and fine. Typically we would normally go for smaller hotel but this was fine for base in Halifax and first stop on our trip.
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and good location. Located directly in downtown and we even got our room before the official check in time. Charvie, Eddie and Joyce did an excellent job and were good with our kids. We absolutely recommend this hotel and would go here again.
