Days Inn by Wyndham Alpena

When first walking in it appears clean. Once in the room, I noticed feces in the side of the bed, a blood stain on the fitted sheet. I killed a cockroach there also. When I talked to lady at front desk, she told me it was not a cockroach. It most certainly was. The front desk clerk could not put me in touch with a manager, no email, no number, nothing. I asked her to take my name and number and have him get in touch with me. She told me she could not do that for a few days, she had something going on that night and then court the following day. I was shocked she could not connect with the manager while working. She made it sound like she could only contact him in the evening because, he was at another hotel working. There was no help for our issues, I cleaned the feces off the bed myself. Never was told there wasn't an elevator, wandered around with two handicapped people looking. Finally had to ask. Had to have room switched from second to first floor. Room was right by pool and smelled musty. Took your breath away when walking in.

Loud bathroom fans and crummy pillows. Vacuuming too early in the morning (7-8 am).

Yes the first the gentleman that was at the desk was absolutely wonderful. The second night the lady that worked the front desk was a little snarky.

Convenient parking

Put me right across from the pool. Loved it! Great staff. Extra coffee.

Staff were friendly, good location. The breakfast good of been way better, not many choices, pre made omelets that you had to warm up.

Nice surprise! Simple, clean, and inexpensive.

Friendly family atmosphere

Our room wasn't in very good shape. Old A/C unit and a hole in the floor between the bathroom and living area. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Also the fridge sounded like a washing machine, very annoying. It was hard to sleep. The pillows also smelled. Not very happy with our stay.

The gentleman at the front desk was wonderfully friendly and welcoming.

The hot tub is in need of shocking to much foaming in Alpena for the water been there several times and always too much foam in the water

They are saying i never had a room and wont let me check in

Alpena is a small town. We had never been there so deciding on a place to stay wasn't easy. We could not have been more pleased with this Wyndham Days Inn. It was in walking distance to a Wal-mart, Applebees, and several other stores. That was nice. Also the room was huge in size compared to other places we stayed. We stayed 5 nights and would do it again!

The first thing we noticed when we walked into the building that our room was in was how CLEAN everything smelled! The room was super clean, and well stocked with extra towels for the hot tub in our room. The staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a clean, no frills place, this os absolutely perfect!

Very strong smell of mold in not only the rooms but the whole place, wome up sick from this
