Cons:

Is an hotel or a roof top for party every day? Noise in the room until 3:00 AM !!!
Need really to be renovated: not at the level mentionned by Booking. Carpet outdated.

My stay was a one of a kind experience that I will not forget.
Pros:

The vibes were constant at Petite- excellent staff guests were incredible and it was an absolute blast. I highly recommend Petite for people who understand hospitality and boutique hotels and know that this place is a one of a kind absolute gem.

Cons:

I had zero issues-

Pros:

The positives list is short: I’m very confused by the gushing reviews from expert platforms. Excellent mattresses, some of the bread I was served on a charcuterie board was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the bathroom toiletries are lovely.

Cons:

The negatives list is long. We stayed for three nights in a Demi Double, which was extremely dated and well past needing a refurb. Marks, damage and ingrained dirt on the walls, carpet, curtains and shower tiles are unacceptable, and in no way is the room aesthetically pleasing. Shabby chic went out of fashion in 2001.

It was also concerning that the room had a gas fire with the pilot light permanently lit and no trace of a carbon monoxide monitor. Other guests were mainly drunk or high, with a permanent waft of cannabis around the roof terrace, corridors and lobby. I know it’s legal in California, but I can only assume people are smoking in their rooms and not being challenged.

There is no free water or milk for coffee in the rooms, and ice has to be sent for rather than being self-service. The food and beverages are very inconsistent. There were a few nice bits, but also lots of inedible, cold dishes with very high prices. An average burger is 30 bucks and a Negroni cocktail is 77 bucks. The crockery used to serve food is also shabby chic, with pieces chipped and cracked.

My biggest bug with the food was a pile of wilted brown leaves served with my wife’s omelette. California is dripping with fresh produce, so this should not happen. I’m also still waiting for some ice water from day one of our stay.

The F&B nemesis was a pain au chocolat. On one occasion, I was sent a panna cotta, and when I told them, they asked what a pain au chocolat actually was, even though it’s on the menu. The second time we ordered one, it took 45 minutes to arrive, possibly from a local supermarket rather than the kitchen.

We travelled with two teenagers, who aren’t allowed in the pool after 12, and I would advise against staying here with children due to numerous amorous couples on the sunbeds after the sun goes down. The hotel should change to adults-only. It is NOT for a family.

Stay on the 2nd floor - 3rd floor is very loud.
Pros:

Great location.

Cons:

They have a rooftop pool, bar and lounge on the 4th floor. Our room was directly underneath and didn’t get any sleep. After the music stopped at 1am the clean up crew was there until 4am.

Excellent stay…ten of ten would return
Pros:

The location can’t be beat, and the service was wonderful. I felt safe, the value was excellent, and the area is so incredibly walkable..tons of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and more! The poolside service was also great, and there is a beautiful view from the roof top pool as well.

Great stay in an amazing location
Pros:

Had a wonderful holiday weekend at the Petit Hermitage. The location of the hotel was so perfect as it was tucked away in a residential area but still very close to Santa Monica boulevard where there were many great options for food and entertainment. The room was charming and clean and the rooftop pool and restaurant/bar were stunning. Shout out to Trin working up there! Would definitely return here on my next visit to the area.

Lovely little bijou hotel
Pros:

LA is great but massive and no parking so we had to use the hotels valet which costs $65 a night so a bit cost . This hotel also charge a massive $300 for any incidentals upon check in and we didn’t get this back for 10 days after we checked out . However the hotel was great and staff very friendly . There are free cookies at the desk and they give you a metal bottle of water which we used to refill afterwards from the tap.

Hotel gut. Restaurant enttäuschend
Pros:

Zimmer, Rezeption sehr gut. Pool am Dach großartig

Cons:

Restaurant: Das Essen eher mittelmäßig und überteuert. Bei 500 USD für 4 Personen kann man auch ein aufmerksames, professionelles Servicepersonal erwarten, was leider nicht der Fall war. Valet Parking auch teuer.

Pros:

I could leave a long review of all of the things. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Between the theft, feckless staff, and general circus....you will regret it

Overpriced disgusting old
Cons:

This place is old overpriced supposedly the members only but if you stay there, you’re obviously don’t have to remember. The rooms were disgustingly old. The walls are paper thin you can hear every single thing outside I would never stay again

Cons:

I understand character but this was very dated and needs an update. We got a suite. It was so dark in the kitchen and very old. The steamer in the bedroom was filthy and stained my clothes. At this price, it needs modernising.
