Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport Richmond by IHG

We stayed here from August 4th to 11th for a family wedding. The hotel was conveniently located close to both the ceremony and reception venue. We flew in at night, and the staff were very nice, welcoming, and helpful when we arrived.
Check-in was smooth overall, although I had a small issue with my credit card. The staff were helpful, and everything was resolved without any problems. The lobby provided complimentary water, and coffee was available in the mornings. Our room had two queen-size beds, and complimentary buffet breakfast was included every day for the four of us.

The Room
Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. I just wish the closet was a little bigger, although there was plenty of drawer space to store our clothes. There was also a nice lounge chair by the window, which was a comfortable touch. The air conditioning worked well, and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature.
Housekeeping was available every day if needed. We chose not to have our room fully serviced during our stay, but we did ask for clean towels each day, and the staff were always very nice about providing them. The mini fridge also worked well. We bought a case of water and kept our drinks in the fridge without any issues.

Gym & Laundry
The hotel had a small but nice gym, along with a terrace on the second floor. The laundry room is located near the gym entrance, on the left. Unfortunately, there is only one washer and one dryer.
One day, the washer was out of order, so we called the front desk to ask when it would be repaired. We were told someone would call us back, but unfortunately, we never received a follow-up call. This was really the only downside of our stay. Having only one washer and dryer can also be inconvenient when multiple guests need to do laundry.

Breakfast
The complimentary breakfast buffet was really good. It was a basic breakfast, but there was a nice variety, including toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. Oatmeal was not served on weekends.
They also had orange juice, almond milk, coffee, and tea. The food was regularly replenished, so the buffet was always well stocked. Breakfast ended around 10:00 or 10:30 a.m., depending on the day.

Overall

Overall, my family had a very pleasant stay and had no major complaints. The hotel also provides complimentary transportation to the airport, which was very convenient. Just remember to book the airport shuttle in advance with the front desk.
Our only real complaint was the small laundry room and the lack of follow-up when the washer was out of order. Other than that, everything went well, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

If I visit Vancouver again, I would definitely stay here. It was a comfortable, convenient, and pleasant place for our family. It is cost friendly to use Lyft bro get to places.

Our travel companions had trouble getting the shuttle, so had to hire a taxi. That was the only glich. Everything else worked great.

Rooms were spacious and kept very clean. Location was great and parking was ample.

cookies to welcome guests are appreciated.

This hotel is ideally located close to airport and other facilities, in a quiet location off main roads.

Die Lage war ideal, da wir am nächsten Tag den Heimflug angetreten sind. Die Zimmer waren ausserordentlich sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Zimmer konnte zudem komplett abgedunkelt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls sehr lecker, mit grosser Auswahl.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport Richmond for one night before leaving for Los Angeles the next day. It was one of the best stays I have had on my vacation over the past 8 weeks. After arriving via the shuttle, I received a lovely warm greeting from Ivy, who instantly made me feel very welcome. I was early for the check in & Ivy advised that the room type I had booked was not quite ready but offered me immediate check in to a different room type which was ready, which I very much appreciated. She acknowledged my Platinum Status & presented me with a lovely welcome gift package. The room was fabulous, very clean & a super comfy bed. Upon checking out the next morning, both Ivy and Vie were on the desk & couldn’t have been more helpful in arranging to hold a piece of luggage for me until my return and reorganising an earlier shuttle to the airport for me. What a fantastic hotel, so close to Vancouver International Airport with a great shuttle service. I will be returning to stay and would absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

Every time I stay here the people are excellent and the facility is top notch. I really enjoy the restaurant as it has great food and service.
