Leaving!
The room was so dirty I wondered if they even changed the sheets. So I slept in my clothes. There were chips on the carpet and cookies crumbs on the bathroom floor. Neither of which we took into the room. It was very clear the floors hadnt been swept, vacuumed or mopped. The bottom edge of the mirror was covered in dust, along with the water tank cover on the toilet. It likely hadn't been dusted in a month or more. There was a pee splash on the floor next to the toilet and the floor and shower wete covered in small shirt brown hair, which none of us have. Wallpaper was peeling off in some spots, not a massive deal but there was either a splash of pizza or blood on the wall which could have easily been cleaned I'm sure but no attempt was made, that was obvious. The shower curtain is the type you can unbutton ane change out. It was pretty yellow so that is likely not happening either. At 280 dollars a night, The hotel should be immaculate. I stayed at 5 hotels on vacation. This was the only one that was so yuck, no standards and so expensive. Not to mention it's a small city. I didn't find the girl at reception overly friendly but that could have just been the minor language barrier. It is why I never addresses the cleanliness of the hotel while there. I do plan on reaching out to the property manager with pictures.

Chambre qui avait été mal nettoyée. Micro ondes sale tapis et meubles poussiéreux. Trace dans les miroirs et comptoir de salle de bain taché. On nous a changé de chambre à ma demande le lendemain car rien n’avait changé même pas un renouvellement de serviettes propres.

The hotel did not have my prepaid reservation and required me to pay full rate for a second room. Then the room I was given had not been serviced, and was a mess. When I asked for my prepaid rate to be honored, I was told that was not possible as I agreed to the higher rate.
