It was close to Kings Mountain park
Shower/tub area is not maintained very well.
The hotel is very dated. Hallway carpet is nasty. Hotel is under construction. No access to elevator
Loved how inviting it was. The staff was was very friendly. They even gave us an extra room key. Thwy said if we had any trouble they would make it right. The only downfall was the ice machine. On the first floor was broken. Wonderful breakfast. They moring staff on Saturday went out of hos way to find me coffee creamer that i liked. They definitely went out of the way to chat and say good morning and have a good day. Its definitely a place i will go back to. Price was just right for the 3 of us.
Great service
The hotel had a convenient location to the fairgrounds, shopping, and restaurants. It was quieter than expected.
The facility shows its age, but it was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the staff said that Hotels.com had overbooked King bed rooms, so I received a Queen bed room.
Robin was great! She was the receptionist when I arrived. She was courteous and kind! The only thing that went weird was that an 18 wheeler drove through the building and we had to evacuate. Robin was amazing! She made sure everyone got out safely and that she made sure everyone was accounted for. Cudos for Robyn!
The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Even on check out. The lobby and breakfast areas were always clean and smelled great. The carpet in the hallways was dated and dirty. The room was very clean. Had plenty of towels and some toiletries. The water pressure in the shower was great! The blow dryer was terrible. The bed and pillows were clean and comfy. I would go back if I came that way again. Just needs a little TLC :)
We were booked at another hotel that turned out to be a real dive, and the staff here found us a room and let us check in early.
The room was definitely overpriced
Great
The clerk let ua check in at 2pm even though check in didn't advertise until 3pm. She was super kind and friendly!
Reading the reviews I was encouraged by the repeated comments stating the hotel was clean. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had. The room was dated and not very clean with stains on furnishings and the remote control looked like something spilled on it. Also, the deposit hold (for incidentals) was $100!! The lady at the desk told my husband it’s usually $250 just in case someone smokes in the room. We have stayed at 5 star hotels that simply hold $25-$50. Ridiculous!!
Thankfully I booked this room for my husband and daughter for just one night so my daughter could attend a basketball workout in town. More than one night would have been a no go!
My room was nasty
Thr floor was under construction
Every single staff person was polite and friendly. The room and breakfast area were clean. Breakfast, with scrambled eggs and meat, was average for this type of property. They never ran out of anything. Easy access from Highway. A good deal for the money.
The employees we interacted with were pleasant and very nice but this was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed. The room smelled like a smoking room. There was a film on everything. The walls had splashes of spilled drinks all over them. Sticky drops on the floor before entering. Some sort of rubber mat thing in the bottom of the tub. This room hasn’t been deep cleaned in YEARS. It was truly disappointing as I read all of the reviews and thought I had made a good choice. The only way to remedy this is to gut the place and start over.
Our room and the hotel was clean, but definitely in need of updating. Furniture and carpets were worn. Typical breakfast offerings. We were on the first floor and it was very noisy. Staff was friendly.
this is a great place to stay, there are a lot of workers in the area rebuilding after the disaster. the staff are extremely friendly and care about keeping the hotel clean. can highly recommend ahead of the more expensive options close by.
Had three rooms and non of them had Hot Water plus the walls are paper thin so you hear everything.
