Edinbane a treasure on the Isle
Pros:

Edinbane is a great experience for a stay on the Isle of Skye. Our accommodations were extremely comfortable and gracious, and the service and the food were exceptional. Our deck overlooked a rushing creek and our room was as quiet as house in a secluded woods. The lodge was comfortable, and the dining experience both visually and sensory, was memorable. The Staff was outstanding!!

Very nice and friendly hotel.
Pros:

The hotel was very nice and clean.
The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent.

Cons:

The bathroom sadly has no windows, so that the fan has difficulty drying the room after a shower.

Sensational, highly recommend.
Pros:

We can’t speak highly enough of Edinbane Lodge. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive to our needs and could not have done more for us.
Special mention to Alan in the Customer Service and Whiskey bar who is a fantastic guy and really looked after us. The staff in the breakfast area could not have been better.
One sort pf negative is that the area is remote and there is not much around the actual lodge but that was easily overcome with a short drive.
Highly recommend the lodge and make sure to try one of Alan’s Martini’s! 👍👍

Cons:

The remoteness, however it is what it is and we were aware prior to booking.

A one night experience
Pros:

There were lots of little touches, that did add something special like the homemade shortbread in the room; the local pottery mugs, the little milk jug in the fridge. The bathroom was beautiful and Ultra modern with a huge bath and its own TV, including waterproof remote control! The bedroom had a little outside area near a stream, which was lovely, but the weather did not allow us to use that. The dinner, which we had one night was very special, the restaurant had accommodated all our dietary requirements, and dishes were beautifully and artistically presented. We appreciated that all the ingredients were locally and sustainably sourced, including the restaurant having its own farm. Things like homemade bread at breakfast were wonderful, as were the non vegetarian cooked options. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Cons:

Given the price I was expecting a much bigger bedroom. In fact, the bedroom was very small, had no AC and did not have much cupboard space. The cupboard was too small to put the ironing board into if you wanted to access the drawers or the fridge. The breakfast buffet was really limited: tiny ready made boxes of cereal and a small fruit bowl. Was expecting much more!

Pros:

Longing to Return
Pros:

Wow! What a Stay ! I can only describe Edinbane Lodge as a masterclass in boutique luxury and gastronomic excellence. The charm of this 16th-century hunting lodge, just wrapped around us like a warm tartan blanket. The stone walls, exposed beams, and velvet touches evoke a sense of timeless Scottish elegance, while the modern comforts ensured that we were pampered throughout our stay.

Our room was styled with a subtle Scottish theme of woven tweeds, soft lighting, and sumptuous beds that practically demanded a long lie-in ( which we took full advasntage of). Despite its historic external bones, the decor and amenities rival any five-star hotel that we've stayed in. The plush white robes, high-end toiletries, and a sense of serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere on this magical but very busy island.

However, the real star is the restaurant. Edinbane Lodge is a destination for food lovers, and rightly so. The tasting menu is a poetic tribute to Skye’s natural larder. The service was impeccable: warm, knowledgeable, and never intrusive. It has a well deserved place in the Michelin Guide along with a host of accolades. This wasn't just dinner it was an amazing culinary experience.

We left all too soon but with a full belly, a rested soul, and a longing to return.
