Excellent stay had a meal the evening we arrived and it was excellent even though there was a large group of us.

Friendly staff when we could find them on arrival and room en-suite doors not good.
Pros:

Entrance area very nice. Lounge sofa etc. Room was okay! Location good for St David’s high street etc.
The two staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly.

Cons:

Didn’t like all the crow bird noise, car was full of bird dirt in car park.
Room was okay, but felt like needed an update. En-suite doors looked like a wardrobe in corner of room, with a gap in middle of doors when closed, so from the bedroom, you could see into the bathroom!
Also when arriving at the hotel, there didn’t seem to be any reception. A little confusing. In the end we went to the bar and waited to ask.. this could be more clear to guests arriving.

Restful mid-week break.
Pros:

The welcome, which was warm and exceptionally helpful.
Our room was clean, warm and comfortable.
The conservatory dining room was light and added to the relaxing feel of country and nature.
Very good food.
We love the locality.

Cons:

We feel that Marsdens could do more to improve the decor throughout and the design of the bathroom. Because the sink was so close, it was impossible to open the shower screen sufficiently to turn on the taps without getting drenched with very cold water. It was difficult to move comfortably in the shower without knocking the screen and causing a flood on the bathroom floor. .
A chair and mirror/table would have provided some convenience/luxury for ladies when dressing/ applying make up/ hair etc.

The downstairs was very grand but lacked it in the bedrooms just a little maintenance would have made a difference

Amazing place with great location
Pros:

Fabulous location and lovely looking building with a lovely walled garden, which was great for the dog to run around. The Grove was great value for money, the hosts Jeff and Carol and their staff couldn't do enough for you. The food especially the breakfast was lovely, hot and plentiful and served in a beautiful conservatory. The place was clean and beds very comfortable, with a big bathroom and lovely soft towels.

Cons:

Upper floor was very tired, carpets were old and need replacing and could do with painting, however cleanliness was still of a good standard. If this was rectified, this place would be amazing.

A quality hotel based centrally to St David's, and close to the beautiful coastal path.
Pros:

Stayed in Grove during a work trip. Very impressed with the characterful room, which was very comfortable (both the bed and the chairs provided).
The location was perfect, both from a perspective of convenience to where I was working the following day, but also the city centre. Easy access to the stunning coast path, and the restaurant provided an excellent evening meal.

Cons:

Sadly, I needed to leave before breakfast was served. I knew this before arriving, but was tempted as I left.
