Hilton Head Holiday Inn Express
Pros:

We spent one night at this hotel before heading to another location we had arranged in advance. When we arrived, the hotel's hot water wasn't working. We were told plumbers were on site and working to fix it. Other guests told us it had been out for a few hours. Later that evening, it was temporarily repaired. The person checking us in seemed tired of people asking about the hot water.

I was told my security hold wasn’t taken but the money was out of my account. It took 40 minutes to check in because of that.

Typical beat-up family beach stay
Pros:

Close-ish to the beach.

Cons:

Facilities are old, they have open air hallways so it makes it difficult to reduce the humidity in the rooms. The carpet in my room felt wet from the humidity, towels wouldn't dry, it just felt damp and the AC didn't help. It's clear the facility needs to be upgraded and renovated there's nothing cleaning staff could do to improve on it.

Location is great but outside of that we weren't fans and don't plan to stay again
Pros:

We loved the location! Close to the beach and Coligny plaza

Cons:

The breakfast area was too small and there was barely room to move. I didn't like the fact that there were milk jugs instead of small cartons, it's not hygienic. Also I didn't appreciate having to pay for parking when they have their own parking lot, if it was a shared lot I would have understood.

No air conditioner on the floors or elevators. Construction going on and the hallways had a musty smell due to the fact there was no air on the floors

Covered Parking and the A/C will make you feel like you are in North Pole.

Free Shuttle 😄

Cons:

That there was no garage level check in bathroom. You have to go to floors 1/3/5 upon arrival.

It’s not a bad walk to the beach but still you have to walk if there is a wait for the free shuttle.
