The hotel was really nice and clean, in a great location that was very walkable to the beach

A Memorable Stay w/ Wonderful Experience Team!
Pros:

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express. Orville and Stephanie went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. Small requests like extra towels were never a problem. We were always greeted with friendliness and professionalism. That made us feel comfortable the minute we set foot on the property. Even when parking was full, Stephanie offered the main drive-thru greenspace as a makeshift parking space until the morning. When you're tired from a long family road trip, customer service accommodations upon arrival really matter. Our rooms were very clean and reasonably sized. I loved the location being at the intersection of Pope Ave and S Forest Beach Drive. My husband and I enjoyed taking the morning and afternoon bike rides in both directions. The pool area was a fairly sized and filled with families. We also appreciated how close the hotel was to Coligny Plaza and Lowcountry Celebration Park. Being adjacent to the latter made it the true definition of family-friendly. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing, clean, and beachy. I'm glad the kickoff to our family vacation was spent here.

This wasn't a comfortable stay due to the centipedes in the bathroom and no hot water to shower,
Pros:

The room had a balcony and was spacious, the heat also worked really well

Cons:

Paying to park after the cost of the room is really too pricy for the parking that is available. Our room had several Centipedes in the bathroom and hall area. The toilet did not flush well; I had to hold the handle down and repeat flushing. It took the tub tall night to drain after a shower at 5 pm
Also, no hot water in the shower the shower was luke warm!!

Friendly staff, very clean hotel and exceptional pool area that stays open until 10p, continental beakfast was very nice - lots of choices, loved the parking garage (although hated paying $10 for it) loved four pillows per bed.

Cons:

The $50 no exceptions incidental charge. Hated Room 326's bathroom toilet (seat) was literally 13" off the ground - for taller in height individuals that's a long way down to sit. Hated the shower grab bar was on the side of the shower head as opposed to the entrance of the tub, very slippery getting into tub. Hated the shower head was at the height of the back of my neck - why isn't over head shower heads a thing for a hotel charging top dollar rates? Hated the bathroom sink wasn't located in the bathroom, hated there is no place to place/lay you clean clothes except on the floor in the bathroom. Disappointed there is no seating available on the room's balconey.

We were impressed by the Holiday Inn!
Pros:

The breakfast was more than we expected. The area was neat and clean most food options were available. The tree cover and pond were good to walk out on the balcony and see.

Cons:

The heat in the elevator and hallways but it's to be expected when it's exposed to outside.

I’m for sure coming back
Pros:

The staff is very friendly and always had a treat for my kiddos. Also during breakfast the manager came and said a couple kind words to the guests. Very professional and polite but most of all proud of his team and work.
