We booked three rooms in between Aug 5th to Aug 7th Begam Butik Otel. Hotel itself is good. Close to town center, various restaurants and souvenir shops. The hotel also has site seeing tour operations/ office at the premises.
We purchased 8 tickets for Hot Air Balloon ride from the hotel. It charged us 4,000 LIRA per person. Before booking, we asked whether this ride would be suitable for 85 years senior (our mom) who has mobility issues. The hotel owner/ staff saw her mobility challenges. We also asked to confirm that there will be some stool for her to sit during the ride as she can not stand for hours.
The staff/ owner called balloon operator and re-assured that she will have a stool and is suitable for her.
When we arrived at launching site , we were directed to Balloon Operator named Assiana Balloon. Then we found that we can not just step in the balloon basket. Rather we need to climb up and then down at the basket. Because her mobility challenges my mom can not get into the basket. They brought a ladder to keep outside, but no ladder to come inside. She can not keep balance to get into the basket. Also, there was no promised stool for her to sit during the ride. Obviously, she could not take the ride. Lading is also not suitable for a senior who has mobility challenges.
This is not that they could sale the spot to another person if we had not purchased a seat for my mom. The balloon basket still had few more empty spots. And the hotel staff/ owner who took the money. Never returned the money for my mom.
This is nothing but dis-honesty. They are running this operation for years. They knew this ride is not suitable for 85 years senior who has mobility issue. This is just cheating.
The staff was so kind.
Central location. Large cave room on groundfloor with bathtub. Excellent breakfast. Lovely owners always trying to help you, Every morgen there is an english speaking guide present at the hotel to help and inform guests about visits.

Yeni tadilattan geçerek bayramda faaliyete başlamış küçük bir aile oteli. Otel binası yaklaşık 80 yıllık bir eski taş konak. Farklı bir mimari yapısı, harika bir bahçe ve terası var. Odaları ve yatakları oldukça rahat. Taş binanın verdiği muhteşem doğal serinlik yetiyor, klima ihtiyacı duymadık. Kızılırmak kenarında merkezi bir yerde. Akşam terasından Avanosu, Kızılırmak'ı ve uzaktan Göreme ışıklarını seyretmek harika. Kendinizi evinizde hissediyorsunuz, samimi bir ev ortamı. Genç Emin kardeşimin özenle hazırladığı ev kahvaltısı sevgi dolu ve lezzetli idi. Biz standart süit odada kaldık. Jakuzili odalar da varmış. Tek sıkıntı banyo daha iyi olabilirdi. Bu otele giderken hiç yorum olmadığı için biraz çekinerek ve kuşkulu gitmiştik. Ancak iyi ki gitmişiz. Fiyat makul ve otel güzel. Tarihin derinliklerinde hissediyorsunuz kendinizi. Kapadokya'nın merkezi Avanos'ta, her yere yakın. Tavsiye ederim. Lüks değil ama temiz ve doğal bir ortam. Memnun kalırsınız.
