A visit to Buenos Aires staying in a superb location at the Sofitel results in a superb experience!
Pros:

The Sofitel excelled in service the great restaurant & bar & the lovely warm service from the staff. The location across from the Shopping complex was just ideal. A swim in the pool was a must! Highly recommened & would return here first!

Staff were attentive and always willing to help. All employees we encountered spoke English and Spanish which was amazing. Our room was cleaned daily and they did a great job. They also brought tea and chocolates daily to our room alongside more water or towels as needed. There were cookies upon arrival which was a nice touch. All water and sodas, tea, coffee in the room was free. Bed was also very comfortable and we had a shower and bathtub. They also give a free drink at the bar during your stay! Always a bonus.

Cons:

Bar inside the hotel opens around 5pm and closes at 1130pm, which is early for Argentina. It would be great if the hotel bar had longer opening hours. The drinks are great and staff are friendly so it's a shame it's not open longer.

Hotel next to designer shops
Pros:

I loved this hotel. It's in a nice part of Buenos Aires city centre, close to shops and tourist areas, such as Recoleta cemetery where Eva Peron is buried. The rooms are large and well decorated and mine had a very big bathroom, with separate shower and bath. The bed was very comfortable.
I did not eat dinner here as ate out, but the breakfasts were very nice, buffet style but you could request alternatives from a menu. Being from the UK I like tea with my breakfast, which had to be ordered separately. It was never a problem to request this from the waiting staff and one went out of her way to bring me a very nice mint tea one morning.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Buenos Aires.
