Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vancouver

This was one of the most disgusting hotel stays I have ever experienced. The room was clearly not cleaned properly. There was pubic hair in the shower, hair all over the bed, and a dirty men’s sock left on the floor, (our party was only women). The light switch and outlet covers were covered in grime. See the photos.

The condition of the property was also unacceptable. Wallpaper was peeling in the stairwell, there was no elevator, and water was dripping from a lobby light fixture. Our room window lock was broken and hanging off the window, and one of the unoccupied ground-floor rooms had its window left wide open for the entire stay. That felt incredibly unsafe.

The basic accommodations were poor. We booked for 4 people for 2 nights and were given only 2 towels. There were no extra pillows available when we asked. The bathroom outlet did not work, and there was no usable outlet near the other mirror, which made it impossible to do our hair properly. The Wi-Fi was so bad we could not even check email.

What made it worse was that the pool was closed and that was not disclosed until after check-in. The hotel’s public listings still promote an indoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and free breakfast, and the official photos present the property much better than what we actually walked into. The included breakfast (cereal and toast) does not start until 7:30 a.m.

The front desk experience was also unprofessional. While I was standing there waiting to check in, the staff member put a customer on on the phone on hold to take a personal phone call.

Between the filth, broken outlet, broken window lock, lack of towels and pillows, terrible Wi-Fi, closed pool, and serious safety concerns, this stay was unacceptable. The photos in the online listing do not match the actual condition of this hotel. I would not stay here again, and I would strongly recommend others avoid it.

Literally everything could've been better. This was the biggest dump I have ever stayed in. There was no lock on the door to the parking lot (huge safety issue), stains on the bedsheets, the TV wasn't logged into any sort of cable, there was no trash can in the room, the bathroom door didn't close all the way, the toilet seat was flopping and ready to come off. I cannot describe with adequate words how big of a dump this place was.

Breakfast- was out of coffee, I didn't see any tea, no milk for cereal The staff must have gone to get some more but I didn't see them. My room needed some repairs the sink was cracked , stains on the ceiling, no tissue in the tissue holder. There was a large pile of debris behind the motel, probably from a storm. There were lots of cigarette but in the parking area most likely a messy guest.

Didn't like the Hispanic lady at the desk she was rude and not very friendly

The bed was uncomfortable bedding was not cleaned sheets were stained. There were big stains in the carpet the tv didnt work the smoke detector was hanging off the wall

Some reason bathroom sink got issues and slow drain.

The attic door was wide open in hallway, the pool was out of order and did not say online.

Cockroaches next to bed and in the bathroom, tile was busted up in bathroom so when you walked they came up, smell was horrible, no screen on window

evrything, nothing is working in the hotel room and still didn't stay for less than an hour and still charged me for a night, which I believe it's steing people's money.
