Hampton Inn Oak Ridge Knoxville

I didn't eat breakfast due to time factor, but I cruised through. Very nicely set up, well organized, clean and nice choices.

They have recently updated the hotel, but the staff and management have not kept up. A housekeeper came into my room at 8:30 am while I was in the shower. Management doesn’t seem to care. I have been frequenting this hotel for years, but service has declined dramatically and I will not be returning.

Close to everything we needed great location

TV didn’t work. AC/Heat didn’t work. Water got turned off in the morning so we couldn’t take showers—and we had to leave for a wedding in an hour. Sent all this to the hotel directly and got no response back. Stayed there again this week, assuming they’d have these kind of problems fixed. Different but again no TV and no water coming through the shower head so it got replaced. There’s still a leak in the ceiling tile next to the coffee area which we assumed would have been fixed since our last stay. We’ll be staying at a different hotel on our next trip to Oak Ridge TN.

Very disappointing sleep. The mattresses are very old and hard, we had to ask for 3 mattress pads to be able to sleep. If you have back issues don’t sleep here. In addition we stayed here for the heated pool. We asked multiple times during our 4 night stay for the heater on the pool to be fixed and they told us the pump was fixed but it never was. Instead of making promises they should have just closed the pool.

Me and my daughter had a wonderful time swimming in the pool it was perfect temperature. The morning breakfast was absolutely amazing. The staff was beyond helpful I appreciate Rob!!!

Clean, great staff, and fantastic shower head pressure. It was also pretty quiet so that was a blessing!

We were to attend an event at the Oak Ridge Y-12 facility. On Sep 30, 2025, we booked a 2-night stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Oak Ridge, TN, located at 208 S. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, 37830, for check-in on Oct 31, 2025 and checkout Nov 2, 2025 for a total cost of $488.92. My husband is a Veteran and disabled. That is a lot of money for us.

We learned on Oct 21, 2025 that the Oak Ridge event was cancelled due to the federal government shutdown. We immediately called Hampton Inn by Hilton in Oak Ridge, TN to cancel our reservation. The hotel manager told us that there was a 21-day cancellation policy and refused to cancel our reservation due to Hilton’s Corporate Policy. We called Hilton customer service, who said it wasn’t their policy and that they had no ability to cancel the reservation, that the ability to cancel and waive any fees lies solely with the hotel property. Hilton customer service called and spoke with the manager at the hotel, who again refused to cancel the reservation because they are “an NFL hotel,” meaning they have an absolute no cancellation within the 21-day window due to NFL games. The closest NFL team is the Titans in Nashville, a 2 hr 42 min (162.3 mi) drive from Oak Ridge to Nissan Stadium.

Neither would the hotel modify the reservation date to a future event in December.

We’ve already been charged for the room. If we cancel the reservation, they keep the money AND can re-rent the room. Since we are paying either way, we are calling local Oak Ridge Veteran’s groups to find a homeless veteran who can use the room for that time and get out of the cold.

We will never stay at this hotel in the future and urge others, especially Veterans, to do the same.
