Heart of the village classic pub
Pros:

The staff were really friendly, the room was up to a good standard cleanliness wise,. The pub itself has lots of character and is a little bit quieter than the other main pub in the village (you must book in advance to eat there).
We were allowed to park our cars all day and the following morning which was ideal and saved paying to park. Location is spot on to, its in the heart of the village.
Breakfast was absolutely lovely 😍

Cons:

The bedroom was rather cold and staff did fix it later on at night but at 4am, I woke cold and needed extra layers.
Minor niggles with cobwebs etc but overall good cleanliness
We ate between us 7 meals of the main restaurant menu and I cant put my finger on it, it was just "fine" but for the price I felt it could be better.

Lovely central base for visiting the new Forest. Would stay here gin.
Pros:

Good that food was served to the table, particularly breakfast.
Very friendly welcoming staff.
Room was clean and comfortable.

We did enjoy our stay overall but were disappointed with some of the facilities
Pros:

Breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. Really liked where the hotel was situated. Used the restaurant each evening and again the staff were excellent.

Cons:

Didn't like being in an attic room with sloping ceiling. Plus this made the ensuite very cramped with a ridiculously small wash basin. Bathroom was very much a let down.

We love this place, second year of coming and will be back next year!
Pros:

The breakfasts and the staff are exceptional.
The rooms are clean and serviced daily.
Evening meals are good and reasonably priced.

Cons:

The rooms are a little tired and small if on the second floor, but they are priced with that in mind.

Excellent b&b pub we will be re visiting .I’d missed it driving through and had double back 30min trying find decent
Pros:

Quiet location great nights sleep . Food very tasty . Staff excellent banter

Cons:

Food portions too small for the cost . Pack meals out with mash and veg costs little . Went bed feeling hungry .
Breakfast 8.30 way too late for early birds .
