Breakfast was good
Everything was fantastic! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, a lovely room overlooking the lake, beautiful surroundings and a great breakfast too.

The location, the look and feel of the accommodation. It was clean and looked new. The view was amazing. The breakfast was really nice and were it was served had a really nice atmosphere aswell. I definitely would recommend staying here for a special occasion with a partner.
Only things I didn't like was that there wasn't any hooks in the bathroom to hang anything. The only other thing that wasn't really an issue more of a preference for me, is that I thought it would be beautiful if the water feature in the lake and all the lights around the lake area were multi coloured at night. I think that would make the place stand out even more.
Gorgeous lake views. Room was huge, loads of space, very comfortable and stylish. Loads of tea and coffee, plus biscuits. Floor to ceiling patio doors to balcony let in so much light, but curtains kept it dark for sleeping. Stunning place, would definitely recommend and stay again.
As we were there for a bit of fishing it could not be more perfect, literally meters away from the beautiful lake. Great wildlife, setting, friendly owner (Chris) good breakfast included in the price which was fantastic value for money. The perfect location and we cannot wait to get back, we would be there every month if the property was available more often. Unfortunately for us its a wedding venue and is extremely busy and i can see why.

Beautiful lodge and surroundings. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I booked a double room but was given a twin by mistake which was sorted quickly with no issues what so ever. Another member of staff went out his way to print of a taxi QR code and brought it to my room which was so lovely of him. Room was clean, nice big bath towel (not the small ones usually given), complementary bottled water, views were amazing, breakfast was great (buffet style) which was much needed afger a night of drinking! Would defo recommend this place.
Not dog friendly unfortunately which is probably understandable due to the lake.

Was not made aware that there was no .facilities available. I had called the three numbers provided and it was never answered, even the out of hours number was switched off.
For £165, I expected to be able to get hold of at least one person, disappointed that we were not able to enjoy the restaurant. It was my partner's 30th, if I was made aware of this upon booking I'd have searched elsewhere.
We had strict rules about the lake. No swimming etc, as we were leaving two women were taking a swim,
Green light in room made it impossible to sleep. Lake had been drained and looked like a mud patch with no warning or discount. Breakfast was very limited.
The staff were all lovely and very welcoming
The lake has been drained, building works are on-going, toilet brushes left outside rooms on view, no hairdryers in the rooms and by the time you realise, no-one is on site to answer the phone to borrow one, curtains are fully open or fully closed - no option to appreciate the view without being overlooked by other facilities and rooms. Really disappointed overall. Booked for our anniversary and it was far from special. Not good value for money.
About our stay.
They room and setting was lovely we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. However with red alert weather warning and the power cut from 1am, high winds tiles falling from the roof and no heating it soon became quite a stressful stay. This through no fault of yours of course this is something you cannot control.
We did become to get quite concerned as to how we would get home safety the next morning and were worried about traveling with our 6 year old son and for all our safety.
This is where I became very disappointed in the service received.
I messaged the out of hours number given to ask if if was possible to have a later check out due to the severe weather warning. And asked if breakfast would still be served due to no electricity,
The response I got was this -
Good morning sorry for the disruption unfortunately we have no power across the entire site. Regrettably we are unable to extend your check out as we have wedding guests arriving however you are more than welcome to wait out the storm in rhodris. A cold breakfast of cereal and yogurt is also available at rhodris. Please pop over to the office if you require any further information.
We did go down to Rhodris. We were greeting by 2 staff member sat by the fire. Considering breakfast was between 7.30 - 10 and it was no 9.15 there was nothing set out and we had to ask. We knew there was only going to be cold items due to the electricity. We were served cereal and yogurts the yogurts were o
Hi lovely place but as we went to get in to bed we found a lot of hairs all over sheets and as a result we slept on the duvet and went to have a shower also hair all in the bath lovely place just not clean and for the money you would expect more
Beautiful peaceful perfect for weddings only I think
No staff after working hours , takeaway options didn’t deliver to Canada lodges . When we did find a takeaway we had no cutlery or plates to eat off.

What you didnt know, was my back had my health were in trouble, i needed to lay down and rest before a concert.
You appeared to take one look at my stressed out face and you were amazing, ko questions asked.
Room was beautiful, food was.fantastic and the grounds were incredible.
