Nice room and great location for Stampede Park.
Pros:

We booked this hotel as it was close to the Calgary Stampede Arena which was easily reachable from the nearby metro station.

Cons:

Breakfast was basic and only disappointing thing was the hot food wasn’t very hot on either of the days we stayed here.

Good location with metro station only a five minute walk away. Clean room.
Pros:

We were on a road trip and started off staying two nights here for the Stampede. As we were flying home from Calgary we booked a second visit here for our final stopover as we were happy after our original stay.

Terrible location/rooms and pool

Everything! It was in a terrible area! I accidentally booked the wrong hotel and ask for a transfer and it was not possible even though I was already staying at the sister hotel by the airport and just wanted to extend my stay. Yes that is my fault. However, the staff were okay and the facility was terrible! I have never seen such a dirty pool in a hotel. There were floaties everywhere and other ppls hair getting stuck to my body. There is also no shower provided before getting into the hottub or pool! The hallways were soo hot and the A/C barely cooled our room! Check in was also terrible! Our room was not ready at 3pm check in and that is unacceptable when you will charge ppl for early check in but not comp a late check in due to our room not being ready on their end.Also there was other ppls hair on the shampoo and conditioner containers in our room which also looked like they haven’t been whiped in awhile. Our room was also falling apart. I will never book at a super 8 hotel again.

Pros:

A/C was already on in our room when we arrived and the included breakfast was awesome.

Cons:

The hot tub wasn't very warm at all and some of the patrons were swimming in their street clothes instead of wearing proper swim wear, which I found somewhat inappropriate.

It was not a stay that I expected and I will not come back here
Cons:

Elevator was not working during the check in.
There response was “They already-messaged us in the morning about the elevator issue” How will this answer help us. We are coming here with a luggage and after a 6 day trip.
(elevator is already broken since a week.)

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing from start to finish. Before I even arrived, I received a message informing me that the elevator was out of service. As a result, I had to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs, and no one offered to help. The room itself was decent and reasonably clean, but it was clear that many things were worn out. The air conditioner was also quite noisy, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

The breakfast was below average, with limited quality and selection. The biggest concern, however, was the fitness centre. It is in very poor condition and should not be advertised in its current state. The treadmills are a serious safety hazard, with the running belts visibly worn and close to failing. If someone were injured because of this, I would not be surprised if the hotel faced a lawsuit. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the gym was not working, making the room far too hot for a safe or comfortable workout.

Considering all of these issues, I do not believe the $138 I paid represented good value. For that price, I honestly would have been better off staying at a downtown hostel. I requested a refund, although I doubt I will receive one. Regardless of the outcome, I will not be staying at this hotel again. Management should address these maintenance and safety issues before someone gets seriously hurt.

It’s a good place to stay in when travelling to Calgary.
Pros:

I like the location which is in the city itself. The staff were great too. It’s a quiet and peaceful place.

Cons:

It’s far from the airport and we can’t take out food for breakfast.
