The hotel is located walking distance to downtown Ventura and the beach.
A one star hotel that looks more charming than what it really is. The facility is very aged. There’s no structure to the mattresses. The carpet and walls are stained and ripped. The soap in the bathroom doesn’t lather. It was an extremely uncomfortable stay.
Location is the only good about the hotel
Value for money is really poor.
Pictures look good, but the rooms, bathroom, the corridors, breakfast Room - everything is old and needs renovation.
Location.
The room had a balcony but you couldn't keep the curtains open for light because other guests could look right in coming from the elevator. A design issue.
They made an effort at a complimentary breakfast but little protein. The facility is a bit tired but it was clean.
Note: the clock in the Clocktower didn't work...
The staff was friendly. I loved the old Spanish architecture. The bed was comfortable and the shower has great water pressure.
I needed a hotel room for 2 nights for my daughter's graduation from UCSB. The Clocktower Inn in Ventura was a 30-minute drive from the campus and half the price of rooms in Santa Barbara. The staff were warm and welcoming and my room, while somewhat small, was super clean and well appointed. An added benefit was that my room (#224) was at the corner of the property so I had windows on the north and east sides of the room. They served a lovely hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, breads, cereals, waffles, juice, coffee, etc. All in all my experience was very good and I would definitely stay at this property again.
Great location!
No shower towels in room.
Really pleasant venue, excellent location.
Breakfast was adequate, but could have been better if there were a kitchen to provide some cooked items.

My husband and I only spent one night at Clocktown Inn while traveling through Ventura. It was a nice stay - a modest hotel, with small bedroom and bath - but it was clean and had a fine breakfast. The staff was friendly and the hotel is conveniently located a block from the historic Mission Basilica from 1782 and the beginning of the pedestrian only portion of Main Street. I would feel comfortable staying there again.
Employees were awesome and helpful with any questions we had. It was clean and breakfast was awesome. And it is a nice walk to the beach not far at all.
