The Carolina Inn, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

Beautiful historic hotel! It was very clean, well maintained, and had high-end amenities, including a Nespresso machine in the room and plenty of lovely, nice-smelling soaps. The décor felt authentic and tasteful, which added to the charm of the property.

The rooms are on the smaller side, but that is to be expected in a historic hotel. The front desk and bell staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Value for the money was good; we are Hyatt members and used partial points and part cash. There was no noise, a calm and quiet place to sleep.

We also ate at Crossroads. The food tasted good, but unfortunately, we both had stomach aches afterward, so that part of the experience was disappointing.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! The entire staff at the Carolina Inn went above and beyond for our event. At every turn, someone from the team was asking if we needed anything - it made for the most incredible event. Cannot thank them enough!

The Carolina Inn was immaculate and the beds were super comfy. Well worth the price point. Will definitely stay again when visiting my child at college.

For the price of the rooms, the least they could do is offer complementary coffee to guests in the morning and have the TVs working inthe bar

The Carolina Inn is an iconic hotel on the UNC campus. It is old and elegant and was the absolute perfect venue for our son's wedding. Every event was handled to perfection. Staff were amazing and were able to handle FIVE weddings this weekend, including our son's. We could not be happier with our experience and absolutely love this place. It is such an elegant place and makes you feel that you're stepping back into time. We love the Carolina Inn and its gorgeous guest rooms, public areas, event areas like the Old Well Room, and its beautiful courtyards.

I first stayed here 7 years ago when my daughter was looking at schools and I fell in love with it. Seven years later we stayed while dropping my son for graduate school and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. So so beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable and the location is unbeatable.

Wedding party and we hosted a Sunday morning brunch. Very well done and a great way to send off the bride, groom and our friends and families!

A historic gem in the middle of UNC Chapel Hill campus. We stayed one nigh to visit the property-we have no ties to the university. We encountered true southern hospitality everywhere we went .

Highly recommend The Carolina Inn. A perfect oasis on UNC campus. The room was luxurious and extremely comfortable. The perfect retreat from the busy campus life. Even though it was energetic and busy outside, the room was quiet and calm. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant had excellent service, delicious, cocktails, and menu. Very conveniently located. Appreciated having parking right on site. Refrigerator and Nespresso in room were great to have. Gym was efficient too.

Beautiful property, but the room were small. Two people staying, but only one chair to sit in the room.
