Place was impeccably clean and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal. Rooms were quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast was all UPF. A fresh pot of oatmeal along with freshly boiled and scrambled eggs would be a good start. Cereals were labeled ‘more sugar’ and ‘less sugar’ but there was no healthy cereal at all there. I had more packaging on my table than food.
Very Clean, comfy and lots of food options around. Breakfast was good as well!
Close to McDonald, Tim Hortons and right off the 403:) Easy access.
Clean, Friendly Welcome:)
Clean and spacious room. Room amenities.
Hallways blowing cold air at all times, it was arctic! The pillows were too soft.
Breakfast was good, not excellent but good
Late checkout. I usually ask for late checkout, and I don't care if I need to pay an extra fee for it. The person who assisted me at first was almost rude, and said "there were no more late checkouts". I asked to see the manager, who was absolutely professional and courteous, and gave me an extra half hour for checkout.
This was a beautiful hotel in a perfect location for my daughter’s hockey tournament in Brantford. I loved the room , the breakfast was great and I was pleased there was always hot coffee available.
I liked the location with surrounding restaurants , close proximity to the highway and near the Wayne Gretzky arena.
Unfortunately the downfall was the way my late checkout request was handled -
I explained that I had a long gap before my child’s evening game (tournaments are unpredictable ) , we had been up since 5:30am for an early game and had another game at 6pm ! I only asked to stay until 1-2 pm just so we didn’t have to sit in the car for several hours. I was told that my room “was booked” and that only a 30-minute late checkout was possible. However, when I checked online, the same room type was still available.
I am also a Hilton Honors member, and the program clearly states that late checkout is offered when available. Given that availability still showed online, this made the refusal even more frustrating.
What was most frustrating is that when I asked to extend my stay for another night, it was approved immediately. That makes it very hard to accept the explanation that the hotel needed my exact room. If the hotel truly could not accommodate a longer checkout because of availability, extending the stay should not have been possible without a room change.
This came across as inflexible and inconsistent, and it felt like the only way to get reasonable flexibility was to pay for an extra night rather than being reasonably accommodated for 2-3 hours.
Also to note the hotel was empty at 4pm when we left. And looking online all room types are available . This was a busy tournament weekend , so I would expect housekeeping would not be turning over all the rooms anyway so why so inflexible ?
Despite this I would stay here again as the hotel is beautiful , keeping in mind this hotel is not willing to accommodate late check outs despite low occupancy on a Sunday night !!
The room was incredibly spacious and clean. I loved the full kitchen with a huge fridge. The slide out desk was perfect for eating dinner as a family.
The bed wasn't super comfortable, some areas were lumpy and worn down. Also the ac worked great but it needs to be dusted and/or clean filter bc every time it kicked on, I was sneezing like crazy.
Spacious room, comfortable beds
OK... Not many options.
Bed was tooo soft
We were warmly greeted by a friendly attendant at the front desk and promptly checked in. There was plenty of free parking and the lobby area was bright and cheery with complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
To our delight, the room was super spacious and had loads of storage! Our suite looked just as depicted in the photos online. So many nice touches, upscale lamps and convenient hooks, curtain separating the sitting area from the beds and a great desk that could be converted into a dining room table or work space. Conveniently located right off the highway and also beside multiple fast food restaurant options.
The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows.
I appreciated the little note in the bathroom that stated if we were without a certain item that the hotel would be happy to provide it if they could.
We requested a quiet room and received exactly that...away from the stairs and elevators.
The breakfast had a fantastic variety, from yogurts, fruits and cereals to hot sausage, bacon, eggs, make your own waffles or toast and bagels.
We didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting and the gym area had natural lighting and was sufficient for a quick workout.
On Christmas morning, we were made to feel like special guests when we found the hand written gift bag hanging on our room door with Toblerone chocolates and candy cane...such a thoughtful touch!
We'd like to give a special "shout-out" to Shannon at the front desk, who went well above and beyond to give us a boost when our car battery died in the parking lot. Nobody else would help, but she stepped up and kindly offered in the midst of a blustery winter storm!
If you need to stay anywhere in the Brantford area, we VERY HIGHLY recommend this wonderful hotel!!!
The only thing that could be improved at this fantastic hotel was a better fitness center...having said that, there were plenty of dumbbells and treadmills for a quick workout. Otherwise, we were beyond pleased with our stay here.
Location, amenities breakfast friendly staff great rooms
Was perfect
