Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Room great view. Liked the ability to walk the boardwalk . Felt safe.

Cons:

Air conditioning - still can't figure out how to set.
Only thing that cold make it better was if there was still a restaurant in the hotel, but with todays prices and shortage on labor understand why.

This is our favorite hotel in the area.
Pros:

This is our go-to place to stay when we come to the Houghton/Hancock area. The views of the canal are beautiful. The location is peaceful.

Find somewhere else the view wasnt worth it.
Pros:

I needed to reschedule the day off because of weather delays the night before forced my trip a day off. I was going to pictured rocks sunset tour and thunder storms came through. So i contacted hotels.com who I booked through and they contacted the general manager Brandi and she refused. So i contacted Natalie at the hotel who was super helpful and she again tried Brandi the general manger and she refused again. I didnt want want to have to drive 2 hours and 45 minutes in unfamiliar territory at 11pm to the hotel. So thank god I was able to reschedule my boat tour again because this crappy general manager has no compassion. Then when I got there. There is no elevator. One washer one dryer. The lake view is like a river. The location is kinda crappy for getting in and out of. Natalie is the saving grace. Hotel parking lot was dirty and lines not very clear. Trash overflowing. Lighting in bathroom in the room not great. One light switch did nothing. Wifi slow.

Love the location and the cleanliness the breakfast buffet was also good

Cons:

I didn't like that they had the smoking signs up but there were people still smoking right outside the door
