Close to the park. Room was decent
Outside premises was very dirty
The place is clean and the employees are friendly but maintenance is non-existent. There was a broken light fixture in my room. The bottom of an exterior door was rusted out. There were missing tiles in the pool. There was a sign in the lobby warning guests not to use the room safes because they don't work. There were only blackout curtains on the windows but no privacy sheers so it's all or nothing. The Bistro restaurant appears to be permanently closed. The hot breakfast was well-prepared. It's the only franchise motel in town but one has to wonder how long that will last as the owners apparently don't want to spend a dime maintaining it. If you want anything other than breakfast, you'll have to either walk downtown or take a short drive to the Giant Eagle down the street.
Well first of all we got in the elevator that was not very clean. As soon as we got off the elevator we was hit with a terrible smell throughout the hallway. The room was ok ,but outdated. The bathroom was very old looking and not very clean. But the worse was part was the pool, my grandkids was really looking forward to swim in the pool, it was so merky and cloudy you couldn't even see the bottom. The rim of the pool was dirty, it looked to be algae. So disappointing , needless to say the kids could not swim. It was very pricey for this hotel, so disappointed!
Ok for a functional place to stay. A bit overpriced since it is kind of run down.
Run down and neglected in places.
The staff were kind and very helpful went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic!
I liked my entire stay!
Central location to everything.
Town is easy walking distance.
Breakfast was awesome
The location
The hotel is very dated and in need of many repairs. It isn't very clean.
Close to Idlewild/Soak Zone but very dated and in need of a refresh! Pool was dirty and cloudy and hallways/lobby were hot and humid like there was no A/C working in the common areas. Tub wouldn't hold water and bathroom door wouldn't open all the way due to warped bathroom floor. Can be tolerated for a night or 2 but long term I would book elsewhere!
location was great
staff was very friendly and helpful
hot breakfast items sat to long and were dry
welcome books in the room were outdated and still showed "the Bistro" was still open
this information should be updated to current availabilities
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Had a horrible experience both times we’ve been here with breakfast first time sour milk second time barely any waffle mix eggs over dried sausages burned and no yogurt according to the manager that was on duty Frank.
Breakfast is horrible was told both times that the pool is under maintenance so our children could not swim
The location was perfect for my needs. It was close to the center of town and to our ultimate destination in the Ligonier area.
The facility is showing its age. It is in dire need of renovation and upgrades. Old carpets and chipped paint are not in the least bit appealing.
We didn’t eat breakfast. Breakfast times end way too early on the weekends especially when people are on vacation and like to sleep in. You should have breakfast on the weekends available until 11:00
There was a mildew, moldy smell in the hotel which triggered an asthma attack for me. That is completely unexpecxeable especially since I paid almost $200 for the night. The woman in the room beside us made the comment hazmat coming in as she entered her room. I think something should be done for the inconvenience this caused myself and other guests. When I mentioned this to the woman at the desk when I checked out she told me that the gentleman left the garage door opened and that’s what caused the smell. Leaving the garage door open isn’t going to cause a smell like that. She wasn’t very professional either. Your hotel/inn needs updating. We felt like we were back in the 1970’s
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We didn’t get there till after 9:30 at night needed more towels and a couple other little things were really nice about everything.
The location
Location, staff
Unkept, rundown.
Its the only place in the area. Its vintage but well kept up. They complain about musty smell around elevator but this is attributable to the high humidity coming up the shaft from the basement. TV's need updating (Small). Food is decent. Bed mattresses are good and sterdy. Bathroom has good pressure. Pool is outside which is not good in fall. The best parking is limited but there is plenty of spaces qround building. The town is quaint but VERY expensive...plate prices can start at $25 and get into the high thirties. The pizza joints are $$-$$$. If you go to the next town (Latrobe) for your meal avoid Sharky's Cafe. Way over-priced for blah food. The fort is interesting.
