Great location, modern hotel with friendly service.
Pros:

Fantastic views of the ocean, nicely lit and the facilities were modern. Front counter service was very friendly and came with free parking. Early checkin was appreciated.

Cons:

The bath is very small, I am not a tall person and half of my legs were dangling out the bath.

Also found the bathroom fogged up a lot and took a while to clear.

Always stay here in Cairns and it is great value.
Pros:

Great spot for a one night stay in Cairns. Close to airport and cafes and restaurants. A good nights sleep and bed was comfortable. Reception staff always friendly and helpful

Cons:

Breakfast would have been a useful option although the cafe across the road does give a discount to hotel clients. TV could have been better as unable to use my foxtel subscription to wqtch the AFL.

Pros:

The location right by the promenade is excellent! The hotel is fine, although nothing special. The room was fine and clean. We slept well. For us, it worked.

Cons:

The reception area is OK, again, nothing special. There is a large area on the ground floor that possibly used to be a restaurant. It didn't seem to be used although there was some furniture in it. One bed was very comfortable, but the other bed was very squishy. I thought it was rather strange that you were expected to wash your own dishes used - I used a bowl and a glass - in the bathroom sink. However, that may just be Australia in that we did encounter that at another spot.
