Absolutely fine. Great room, great spot.
Pros:

Good spot.

Cons:

A bit lacking in ground floor facilities. I can understand the business model it has adopted but just felt a bit like a hostel. Lounge in hotel room very hard, but not a big issue.

A good overall choice , walking distance to most areas of interest in town center

Disappointing
Pros:

The staff was friendly.

Cons:

The rooms are dated, the shower had no water pressure at all, the windows might as well not as exist sound travels through them so easily, the king bed didn't even try to hide the fact it was two single beds shoved together with a big dip in the middle.

Great view and good value
Pros:

Location close to the Cairns Esplanade. Comfortable, clean and modern rooms.

Cons:

Our standard room had an electric kettle, cutlery, small plates, dishes and glasses but a toaster would have been handy for breakfast.

A pleasant convenient 1 night stay.
Pros:

As accomodation for 1 night close enough to the airport for an early morning flight, Cairns Plaza Hotel was perfect. All we needed was a comfortable bed, enough room and easy access to town. Tick tick tick!

It was close to everything and the staff were lovely.
Pros:

The location - close enough but far enough away from the crowds.

Cons:

A hostel next door. My rooms door opened onto the pool area of the hostel.
Was ok as it rained most nights preventing noise outside the room at night.
my room 204 was really close to 205. We had a separate hallway for our rooms which were door to door. Every move the neighbour made I heard.

Pleasant but unfortunately the tv did not work properly. Frustrating.
Pros:

Check in was simple and the room ready.

Cons:

TV did not work the second night. Problem with the antennae. Was too late to sort out and missed out of the footy.

Decent stay
Pros:

Great location right on the Esplanade, close to everything you need, great staff members.

Cons:

No soundproof: you can hear the outside traffic and your neighbors; plastic kettle ; bed too soft
