Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach

Even though the facility is non-smoking, the room smelled like stale cigarettes. If it wasn’t stale cigarettes, it was some other offputting smell. This is the reason I rated ‘Didnt meet expectations’. Minor note we were here for three nights and one of the two elevators was out of service during our stay. Elevator was a minor inconvenience.

1 elevator working, dirty restroom, was not worth the cost! 400$/ night?? Had to pay to park! Coffee maker didn’t work. My wife say a roach and freaked out!!!

The elevator is ALWAYS out. Well. One of them. I’ve stayed multiple times. They can’t seem to get this lined out. And they don’t stick to the posted schedule of events usually.

Breakfast was not included with stay as advertised

This was the worse sleeping bed ive ever slept on. Mattresses really need upgrading. I dont know what was going on with the 2nd elevator but multiple people said it had been down for months. The wait time to use the elevator was ridiculous.

Had 2 situation with staff that was a little unpleasant. When we went to order from the grill restaurant the employee complained about her co-workers and said she was glad the busy season was over. The second instance was employees were at the welcome desk having a private conversation but the conversation got loud as we passed and some foul language was heard by myself and my husband. The out of order elevator was a problem also. I know you call each guest to let them know but when you are carrying 3 or for bags and have to wait 10 minutes it makes the experience unpleasant.

There was one elevator working. With the amount of people there were long waits to get to our room and downstairs.

Dirty, this place only had 1 elevator that worked for 6 floors of people. The other one has been broken down for over 1 month Which I didn’t know about when booking, nothing was ever said about it.
Just a paper note taped to it saying ( out of order!
The carpet in elevator was just about black and the doors and walls were covered in hand prints and a film of grime which made me not want to touch the buttons for the floor selections, also all maintenance people were using the elevator, so it allowed very little space for the guest to use it. They had no service elevator for the workers with the carts to use and their is a sign in the elevator, that said they had a barbecue from noon till 6 PM by the pool on Saturday which was a lie. It never happened . Next, the room in which I stayed in (428 ) the shower had a steady dripping of water that interrupted my sleep, the toilet was running which they did address, the carpet in the room was old and dirty along with the hallways
Totally filthy , if you walked on it barefooted you would have black feet!
I also had a musty smell and told the front desk and it was never addressed.
I came back from a family gathering which was at a (bnb) late Sunday evening to find out that there was a leak from the were the tile and carpet meet next to the bathroom and my carpet was soaked so bad that I had to use several towels to lay down on the dirty carpet to try and soak up the water in the carpet which was were the musty smell was coming from. Pictures). Next was the paint on the balcony was peeling off the ceiling which made me not want to stay on it to enjoy the view of the beach and pool area in the morning to drink coffee on with my cousin.(See pictures)
The air conditioning discharge vent which empties out on the balcony was half black
And the balcony chairs and tables are old and dirty.

Charged per day for parking
$18 per person for breakfast

The lazy river pool was fun for the kids
