All parking and front desk employees were very nice! Loved the historic feel.
When we first booked our trip, I spoke with someone at the front desk about having our rooms next to each other, as we had a larger group. I was assured it wasn’t a problem and they already put it in the system. When we arrived, we were told that the owners just bought another hotel and moved their reservations to St Marie and they couldn’t accommodate our request. A little heads up would have been nice. I stood at the front desk hoping the attendant could make something work, but to no avail. They offered a bottle of the house champagne for our troubles.
Also, be aware, if you get a balcony room, it will NOT be a quiet night! We weren’t warned about this ahead of time and one of our rooms did not sleep hardly at all. When asked about the noise, the response was “that’s just Bourbon Street”.
The 5th floor is shorter than the rest, so trying to get the luggage in the room door wasn’t possible.
The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. The staff is fantastic -- everyone we encountered there was friendly and helpful, most especially Betsey at the front desk. The hotel's location is perfect. It's just steps from Bourbon Street and without the nighttime noise. At the last minute we decided to stay an extra night and had to change rooms. The staff made that transition happen seamlessly while we were out exploring the Quarter, and we ended up with an even nicer room than I had booked originally. We plan to stay here again when we return to New Orleans.
I do think the floors in the rooms hadn't been cleaned as well as they could have been, but I can't find fault with anything else, really.
The location is EXCELLENT! One block away from Bourbon St. & 3 blocks away from the river. I super cute balcony over looking the courtyard & pool area. SUPER QUIET despite the close proximity to Bourbon St.
Unfortunately, the room was really humid for some reason. If they had a dehumidifier it would have corrected this problem.
Location was great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Added bonuses of fridge in room and nice coffee machine.
Nothing to speak of
Charming and it was in a very exceptional location
The balcony could have been a little bit bigger
Staff was great, rooms were a good size, courtyard was a nice place to sit or cool off with the pool. The location in the French Quarter is also amazing. Half a block from Bourbon Street and you can't hear any of it from the room.
The bathrooms were quite small though very nice. One of the beds was extremely squeaky and they weren't the most comfortable though acceptable. We also had some ants around the window and on the counter below the tv despite being on the 5th floor.
This hotel is just steps away from Bourbon Street !
Staff were fabulous, our room and courtyard and deli/bar were fabulous.
Wish we had a bit more light in our room. It was pretty dark.
