Lovely hotel
Pros:

Excellent location just a block from Bourbon Street yet very quite. Staff was so very nice and helpful with anything you asked for. Lovely courtyard just to sit and relax. The pool is beautiful even though we did not get to use it. Room was large with a balcony. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom needed updating. I would recommend this hotel.

Cons:

Rien

Pros:

Great location! Lots to do within walking distance but still quiet. Cute courtyard, nice clean rooms, great staff, and a nice restaurant and coffee shop!

Cons:

The only thing that would’ve made it better is a heated pool. But we stayed there in February after a record cold snap so it wasn’t a big deal. I would love to stay there again!

Betsey + It’s the Little Things That Make a Stay Special
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel St. Marie. The location is perfect. It is right in the French Quarter but tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxing after a long day exploring. It is close to Bourbon (just FYI). The hotel itself has a beautiful, classic New Orleans atmosphere, and everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained.

What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the service, especially from Betsy at the front desk. I needed to print out paperwork for my son, who had applied for a summer study abroad scholarship. Betsy not only made sure everything was printed quickly and without issue, but she went above and beyond in a way I’ll never forget, with a thoughtful handwritten note wishing my son good luck. (and he did get the scholarship!)

It was such a small gesture, but incredibly meaningful and it turned an already great stay into something truly memorable. That level of kindness and care is rare these days, and it says a lot about the people who work here.

I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

A NOLA gem
Pros:

This is my new go to spot when in NOLA. About a half block off Bourbon St., but far enough where the sights and sounds (and smells) don't factor in. My room was very clean, the bathroom was spacious (the shower too, with good water pressure!). Keisha and Betsy at the front desk were always helpful with any questions I had. The attached restaurant (Vacherie) is small but cozy, and had great food with friendly staff. I was in town for Jazzfest and one of the shuttles was just a few blocks down the street by the river. Also very convenient to numerous other restaurants, bars and shops (and Jackson Square). Can't say enough about this place!

Great place to stay but stay in courtyard room. Much cheaper.
Pros:

Location was within walking distance from most everything we wanted to see. Room was nice.

Cons:

We paid double rates for balcony or more. I did like the balcony BUT the Daquori bar on corner of bourbon street played crazy dance music with enough base to rattle my nerves beyond what I could stand. That place ruins the balcony room.

Enjoyed our Stay
Pros:

This was our first stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located to the downtown area of the French Quarter. Most everything was within walking distance.
And, to the staff, I award each of them an A+
The rooms were very clean and quiet. The atmosphere was pleasant.
We will definitely stay at this hotel when we visit New Orleans.

Fantastic experience, standout customer service!
Pros:

We checked into what turned out to be a terrible Airbnb for the first night of a 4 night trip, and we found Hotel St Marie on Hotel Tonight app for the remainder of our 3 nights (though we booked direct instead of with Hotel Tonight). All around amazing experience at Hotel St Marie. They staff the front desk 24/7 so there is always someone to help. The main doors have key-only access at night and security at all times. They were super accommodating in holding our bags at check in and check out when we arrived too early for check in and had more time before our flight after check out. They gave us a call when our room was ready for early check in. We were always greeted with a smile at the front desk and often by name! The bar/cafe was fantastic (try the lemon raspberry scone - it does not disappoint!). The courtyard was beautiful and it was shockingly quiet for staying a block away from Bourbon St during the French Quarter festival. Close to everything! Our bed was made up every day by housekeeping. We would 100% stay here again.
