The breakfast area was clean and bright with enough variety and quantity of food for breakfast.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and the indoor parking was free for overnight guests. There was always a sign for pay parking for non overnight guests. The last time we were there was May 2025 and we were not charged for parking. We were told by the 2 young men at check in that, "We always charged for parking."
Very clean, felt safe, continental breakfast was great!
The blankets are not comfortable and are very thin. Please consider mattress protectors and not just a sheet. When I asked for two additional blankets we were offered two very thin throws, so I asked for the comforters instead and the front desk man told me no. He also failed to let me wait for the throws and wanted to send a man housekeeper up to my room to give them to me. I refused as I was not comfortable and ended up not getting the blankets after all.
The rooms were so clean and nice. The staff was wonderful and breakfast was delicious! Plenty of parking. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would absolutely stay again.
The people next to us came in after 11 pm and were extremely loud and obnoxious. Finally settled down around 1230 so I didn't need to call staff. Not a problem with the hotel itself though.
Breakfast.
$15.00 per night for parking is ridiculous.
Televisions lag behind in voice and you need to change the channel to sync it back up and the reception always has a lot of interference.
Location was very good, and breakfast was excellent.
The attitude of the employee at the main lobby. Not friendly at all! When my wife and I reached the desk at the main lobby, the employee failed to greet us with a smile and maybe a "welcome to the Hyatt". Instead, he proceeded to ask for my I.D. and a credit card. When I inquired about the credit card (it was already paid for) he kind of raised his voice and informed me that it was a $200.00 deposit for incidentals. I then asked for my early checking; we had requested an early checking of 2PM since we were there for a family reunion, we were running a little late and arrived at the hotel at 2:40PM. He said the room was not ready, and that there was no guarantee for an early checking. He made us wait until 3PM on the dot to give us a key. I believe he had an attitude and, had already decided he was going to make us wait until 3PM. Other than that, the stay was fine.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. We appreciated their assistance.
This is a very modern and clean hotel. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times when visiting friends in San Carlos/Redwood City.
The breakfast closes too early, thus I cannot review it.
This hotel would have received a 10/10 if not for the extremely rude, incompetent "Kim" who was working the front desk at our check-in on Wednesday afternoon, 11/26.
Her replacement was a younger woman who never once looked up from her phone to greet us as we passed her.
We recently stayed one night when visiting friends nearby. I had low expectations for the hotel since it was affordable, but it was so clean and new it felt like we were the first guests to ever stay there. We had a drink in the bar and the bartender was super sweet. We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast, but it's nice that it's available. I'd prefer not to pay $12 to park in the garage, but there was ample street parking literally just outside the door if you prefer.
Location, location, exceptional customer service and great overall experience. Kim at the front desk is simply super professional, caring and dedicated. She always goes above and beyond in being thoughtful and providing exemplary customer service. Her smile, warmth and dedication are unmatched! Joshua S. does a superb job with the breakfast arrangements. He is on top of everything and really cares about the clients. These two staff people make every stay at Hyatt Place and experience to remember and want to relive. Thank you both so much!
