Pros:

Staff is wonderful, location is very accommodating along with price.

Cons:

Need bigger trash cans in rooms. As well as an extra can in restroom. Bix spring on both beds were splattered with some kind of stain like urine orother bodily fluids🤢 and air unit smelled musty. Lamp shade was cracked

Convenient place to stay for a short visit
Pros:

There were several breakfast options. Coffee was not great but drinkable.

Cons:

Rooms and hotel in general look tired. Staff are very friendly and helpful but do not appear very professional. Location is good in that it is close to the airport and easy to walk to a decent restaurant.

Welcoming & Comforting!!!
Pros:

The location is perfect for getting around to the main sights in Council Bluffs and a great location for accessing Omaha too! I stayed here several times when it was the Days Inn and Suites. They certainly have upgraded it and made it much more appealing hotel and still budget friendly which is so important for me. It is clean and the rooms are beautifully remodeled. I love the new Days Inn color scheme-so soothing!
The front desk staff are outstanding! I cannot remember their names the one on at my night of arrival and the young lady on the morning shift when I checked out. But they are mother and daughter and they were so kind, thoughtful and caring. I was stuck in the tornado warning in Mound City, MO the night of my check-in. So I phoned the hotel and let them know I wouldn't be arriving until very late; she was so nice and said don't worry just be safe and the room will be here waiting and I knew her caring was sincere just by her genuine tone. The daughter on in the morning when I checked out was so friendly and we had a wonderful conversation after she said you made it! I asked her to thank the lady on the desk the night before and she said that is my mother and she told me about your situation. Then we had a great conversation about the hotel change and the technology upgrades and the area in general. It was a very pleasant and memorable stay!
I am planning on coming there again to Council Bluffs in August if things work out and I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Good value for the price
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Good value for the price.

Cons:

Breakfast was so-so. It was pretty standard fare. Fresh fruit would be nice (apples, oranges, bananas--something simple).

Not bad but not great
Pros:

The price and how close it was to our weekend plans.

Cons:

The cleanliness left a bit to be desired. There was a lone contact lense on the floor by the desk. I had to go down to the front desk twice to have my keys re done. Could have been more of a variety in breakfast.

Could not sleep
Pros:

I really wanted to like this hotel because it’s cheap and it has a lot of good reviews. However, I don’t think I slept the whole night, but you might not have the same problem. The bedspread was so thin that it actually had a hole in it. And then all you have is one sheet. So if you sleep well with just a sheet over you, you will do just fine. I am used to a comforter or blankets. There were no blankets in the room. Also when anyone next-door used their plumbing, it was loud. Although the hotel is near a highway, the fan covered any highway noise. The room was a good size and had a desk. The refrigerator was bigger than normal. There was also a microwave and large screen TV. The king-size bed was just fine -nothing too fancy. The AC kept the kept the room cool. The front desk check-in area always had young children and very worn furniture. So when you first arrive, it looks unprofessional. The breakfast was standard fair, such as like best western with the fake eggs, scrambled and bread, etc. DoorDash delivers here, it didn’t look like a walkable area. If you bring your own comforter, this place is a great value.

As expected for the price we paid
Pros:

It was good enough for the price we paid. My only complaints were that my bed squeaked a little bit and there was a dog barking occasionally, There was occasionally loud traffic in the hallway or lobby, not really sure where it was coming from, but being a dog owner I think a possible improvement would be to have rooms with dogs be closer to the end of the hall where there would be less traffic. I’m guessing that the traffic was what was causing the other dog to bark.
