Great ambiance Feel like your on a holiday as soon as you walk in. Great location

Cons:

We havebeen coming to Novotel nearly each year for 35 years and had our daughter’s wedding there. We have never been offered a loyal customer incentive and don't like the fact we now pay for parking

Dissapointing!
Pros:

I booked through booking.com a room and then i called up to request an interlock room and they couldn't provide it for me but the lady said i needed to book 2 rooms for an interlock room regardless,i booked the king bed with pull out sofa and requestrd a free portacot and i ordered a queen room without a balcony the lady quoted me around 2600 for both the room and i confirmed are both the rooms 2600 because i refuse to pay more then 3k ans she said yes,on arrival they quoted me 2600 for one room and 1800 for the other despite telling staff that the lwdy confirmed the overall price was 2600 for both rooms if i had known i would be paying around 4k just to stay in wollongong less then an hour away from home then i wouldn't have bothered coming and could have used that amount of money and go to queensland,they told me to call back tuesday to speak to the lady who made the booking.i haven't been able to do so due to being busy,the room was full of bogon moths,we had to use the bathroom sink to fill the kettle up with water that is next to a toilet and that is disgusting regardless if boiling water kills germs or not,i ordered room service the spinach and ricotta ravioli and they got my room number wrong and then sent me extremely dry ravioli that was not edible! And 2 free complimentary waters for mixing up my room yet the waters were always complimentery!

Inadequate staff response
Pros:

Near the beach.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our two-night stay was seriously affected by a large number of bogong moths entering our room, despite keeping all doors and screens closed. We reported the issue repeatedly, but the only action taken was to vacuum the room, with moths returning within minutes.

We were promised a follow-up from management, but none came. We had two almost sleepless nights and were particularly disappointed by the lack of urgency, ownership and meaningful assistance from the hotel. The issue may have been seasonal, but the way it was handled was not acceptable.

Pros:

The location was good, opposite the beach. The restaurants were convenient. The staff were lovely.

Cons:

The shower head was the worst. Fell off the wall and smashed my face and ruined my night.
