It was okay. No continental breakfast.
It was very clean, conveniently located next to a Mexican restaurant, staff is amazing. Very close to shopping, theaters, and all around easy going place.
Bugs everywhere I do not recommend unless you love roaches. As soon as I walked into the bathroom roaches were all over the bathroom floor and along the walls. The front desk attendant was also rude. I’m very surprised this place has not been shut down please do not wast your time or money.
Bugs crawling everywhere. Overall room cleanliness was awful. Furniture falling apart. Tv had two lines down the screen. The smoke dector and lock on door were both broken and air was not working. DO NOT STAY HERE. save your time and money. Awful experience
Bugs crawling all along the walls as soon as we unlocked the door. Killed several threw out the night definitely not worth the price also had horrible service from the staff had to switch rooms 3 times cause of a puddle in the middle of the floor with dirty tubs, pet hair all over the bed AND ALSO dirty sheets with stains and blood on them. This is the WORST place we have ever stayed at. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT STAY HERE!
Remodel rooms doors broken,change- clean linen n need better bedding holes in blanket n sheets not used toilet paper give clean everything better services tv not working properly n service air conditioning
If you stay at this hotel choose a room on the upper floors and not one on ground level or the north side. I could hear highway noise and vehicles driving by in the parking lot. The rooms do not seem to be insulated enough to prevent you from hearing the person next to you talk. Pets are allowed at this hotel and there were 2 dogs next to me barking throughout the day and evening. The rooms are basic with no frills, but the floors are laminate which keeps you from stepping on stained carpet. The person checking me in was not cordial and he seemed like it was an inconvenience to him checking people in. All transactions are done through a window with a slot at the bottom due to the current pandemic I assumed. I'm not fond of this hotel and probably will not stay at this location again. I don't recommend it.
First off, The television color was messed up. Everything was green. The breakfast could use a little work. Waffles are ok, but there should be something else besides that. Also, the waffle batter was watered down and there wasn’t enough to make a complete waffle. The bed was comfortable.
We had two rooms at his hotel for one night. All three beds were stained, we asked front desk for more sheets and those sheets were ALSO stained. I woke up in the middle of the night to a noise and found THREE roaches in my room. The doors in both rooms do not have a slip at the bottom so it was open to the outside which allowed the bugs and heat to come in. During the day it was VERY hot. The lobby and rooms were VERY outdated and disgusting.
What a dump!!! I am a Choice Hotels member and this place should be leveled. Open the door to my room, looked around an checked out. Broken doors, smelly, lights not working, etc. and so one. I went next door to the Comfort Inn and got a nice clean room. Same owners, hard to believe.
This place was NASTY!!! The outside was deceiving. When you get into your room you wonder why you weren’t charged by the hour. This place was NASTY!!. We drove from South Carolina to Texas. I wish we slept in our car at a rest stop or on side of the rode. But we had no choice, it’s was prepaid. Hopefully the Econo Lodge in Tyler Tx tomorrow night will be better. I gave it one star just because I had to give something. Badda bing - Badda - don’t!!
Is there a - score I can rate?
1st room we got looks like Crime scene.
We requested non smoking room. That’s what we got plus with the cigarette smell everywhere.
We have to go ask for another room. It was better.but we be woken up by “a special friend “
Wow!!! How anyone not impressed??
Good job guys.we be completely disgusted!
Upon opening the door, bowled over with a mildewy smell, like the carpet had been wet. They moved me to the room next door. Same odor somewhat covered with a deodorizer. Appeared to have been painted. The black mold was seeping through. Unpainted mold behind the bathroom door. Toilet seat not secured to stool. My first sit almost through me. I was here the first week of July, the seasonal pool was green and obviously not usable. Four Internet options, not a one would connect.
Went to get a room outside looked real nice pool was clean get to first room take our showers but room never cools down it was really clean but hot he came to fix it with no luck then moves us down stairs room still clean and the guy is really nice so still happy we order pizza eat and start watching TV in bed right before bed my grandson decided he wanted more pizza I turn on the light and our pizza had roaches all in it ugh now I am scared roaches are in our stuff we have to take home ugh
All I can say is do not stay here please! The room in the hotel was flooded. The refrigerator had a large pool of water inside of it. I told the clerk and had to move all my stuff to another room. Both rooms stank like cigarettes even though I had booked a non-smoking room. In fact in the bathroom when I turn the switch on and the fan ran it the room smelled exactly like someone was smoking in the room. It was a cold night and I turned the airbConditioner to heat and the smoke alarm went off within 3 minutes. I could not even run heat to keep warm. Then when I went To sit on the toilet seat and it was broke and was not connected to the toilet. I was too exhausted to complain again and try to solve the problem. I cannot Believe This place is open. Some of the lights in the room did not even turn on. My nose was congested from the bad smells. I do not recommend this place for anyone. It should be renovated or shut down. I cannot believe Choice associates themselves with this hotel. The towels had mismatched hand towels. The lamps between the beds had some part of it ask you and one lamp would not even work. A dresser had some kind of metal attachment built on to it which I didn't even understand what that was. 1 beds and linens was so old and worn that the edging was coming off it was very pilled and the bedspread had cigarette hole holes in it. See pictures.
I arrived late on Thursday evening and got assigned to room 206.
1) security latch on the door was (4 screws) loose, all 4 screws were pulled away from the lock. I thought I'll report it in the morning. Friday morning at 7 45 am I walked into the lobby and found the desk clerk sitting in the lobby, watching the morning news, texting on his phone.
One would expect the clerk to go behind the desk to assist the customer. Not this clerk, he just looked up and I informed him of the lock situation in room 206. His comment to me was :he would look into it" When I checked out Monday the lock still had not been rectified".
2). I requested an iron to press my dress shirt, the iron was so dirty I had to run the self clean function. The brown stains that were left on the towel I used to wipe it off possibly required the towel to be tossed away.
3). Bathtub did not drain and you ended up standing in the water.
4). AC unit was filthy and required me to run the filter under the faucet in the bathtub. I see from other guests my room wasn't the only one with this issue.
5). I went shopping on Sunday evening and purchased new white sport socks. I walked across the floor 3 or 4 times and the soles of the socks were brown from the dirt my socks picked up. I had to smile because I followed a rug cleaning service van to the airport and the sign stated they had offices in Pearl MS.
Good points the room rates were low, bed was comfortable and the AC worked.
I am returning for another event in early August, unfortunately Econo Lodge is not getting my business.
I booked this room using my points for a baseball tournament weekend. I thought it would be ok for one night. The lady at the front desk was not welcoming or friendly at all. Our room was under the stairwell in a very dark spot and there was a guy that was hanging out with the man working there sitting on the steps drinking beer and looking creepy. I opened the door to the room and was overwhelmed with the nastiness. I walked back out and called Choice Hotels to get the heck out of there. I had to stay that night because we ended up paying cash for the first night that was very last minute plan. I slept on blankets that I had in my truck. I do not recommend this place for anyone.
The first room I was given hadn't even been cleaned yet, so I went to get another room, sat on the bed watching tv before I finally walked into the bathroom..... I can't repeat here what I said, but I was so exhausted, I just inspected the bed for bugs and went to sleep.... this place should be shut down!
Walked in the room and there was a strong odor of mold . There was a strange odor coming from the AC/Fan turned it off and the smell went away the AC vent needed to be cleaned it was so nasty probably where the smell was coming from. The pipe on the bottom of the sink leaked and the carpet was soaked . Didn't ask for another room or complain it was storming really bad and just wanted to go to sleep. Save yourself stay someone where else or don't stay in room 111.
