Well, staff was nice and provided coffee on request.
Although they mistakenly charged me for one more night... So, nope, the staff is bad as well. Overall, everything is dated, the fridge compressor is always on and too loud, a bottle of milk froze into ice cream. TV is something from the last century, no Netflix or anything. My feet were literally black after I tried to walk barefoot.
Honestly, I don't understand how it got such a high rating on booking.
Location of the hotel is a strong point.
Thank to hotel location, we could save time much for family's movements to favorite venues.
Vehicle was broken into and contents stolen. No help from the hotel. No security
There is no security! Open parking lots in the middle of a crime ridden city and nothing to protect the guests
Close to shops
Everything was great
We stayed in multiple rooms (2x standard & 1x loft) during our visit, and unfortunately all three had cleanliness and maintenance issues. The carpets were visibly dirty, the room and closet doors were difficult to open, the closet doors were also rusted, and the AC units were old and very loud. The shower pressure was weak and sprayed inconsistently, and one day there was no hot water for several hours due to a boiler problem.
We also experienced significant noise issues. We had 2 rooms on the first floor where rooms have both interior and exterior doors facing the parking lot, so we could hear people talking and cars outside. Early in the morning, around 6 AM, we were also woken up by loud footsteps from the room above for an extended period.
Another frustration was the billing process. My credit card was pre-authorized multiple times and for incorrect amounts. Front desk staff were polite and friendly, but they could not resolve the issue during our stay. After checkout, I spoke with the hotel by phone and was told my total would be adjusted due to the issues we experienced, but I was still charged the full amount with no discount applied.
On the positive side, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the reception staff were courteous throughout our stay.
Overall, while the staff were pleasant, the cleanliness, maintenance, noise, and billing concerns would prevent me from staying here again.
