Sijainti.

Cons:

Hotellissa oli kuuma, huone hyvin pieni ja sängyt pedattu parisängyksi vaikka varattu huone erillisillä vuoteilla. Asiakaspalvelu hidasta ja avainkortit eivät toimineet ensimmäisellä yrittämällä. Aamupalalla useat ruoat loppu, gluteenittomat levitteet ja leivänpaahdin kontaminoituneet aiheuttaen terveydellisen vaaran. Lisäksi oli pöyristyttävää, että kaupungissa jossa kaikkialla pysäköinti on ilmaista, hotellin parkkipaikalla se oli maksullista. En tule toiste.

Sänky oli hyvä ja siinä oli riittävästi tyynyjä. Sijainti kanavan rannassa kävelymatkan päässä vanhasta Raumasta on hyvä.

Cons:

Hotellissa ei ole ilmastointia ja huone oli kuuma, vaikka ikkuna oli auki ja tuuletin pyöri koko yön (eikä ulkona ollut helle). Suihkun vedenpaine oli niin olematon, että hiusten pesu oli hankalaa.

A pet friendly experience with excellent service
Pros:

We booked the Scandic Rauma for one night, knowing that despite the hot weather, there would not be AC available. Upon arrival, the receptionist reminded us of this but promised to look for a room on the shady side of the building. We felt very welcome, especially traveling with a pet who was greeted with a special welcome pack. Thanks to the kind and "can-do" service, it was a great start to our stay.

The hotel has plenty of parking available, including a few spots for EV charging. However, parking payments and charging both require an app. It is a good idea to arrive early, as the spaces filled up completely.

The hotel itself is conveniently located within walking distance of the "Vanha Rauma" historical center, and overall, it felt like a good choice despite the warm room. Upon departure, we were told that improvements are in sight. As a frequent traveler, it is always a pleasure to see the personnel trying their best, even in challenging situations where they have limited options to change the circumstances. Points to them for trying! Most likely, this place is a perfectly fine choice for nine months out of the year.
