Palihotel San Francisco

I liked the room, it was cute.

Location is convenient, staff are friendly

Very friendly and helpful staff. Oshan was proactive et gave us everything we needed in a timely manner. The manager was also great, overall welcoming place and staff !

Superb decor and thoughtfully designed room. We stayed in a suite, which had a little coffee table, a couch, a breakfast nook and a big comfy bed. Everything was clean. Our room looked upon another buildings roof and the skyline of the city, lots of light in the morning and early afternoon going through the 3 windows.

Super central location, in front of a bus stop and a 5-7 min walk away from the subway station. Surroundings were a lot of other hotels and high rises but there was also a bunch of coffee shops, breakfast place and even grocery stores neerby. We took an uber in from the airport and travelled with public transit during our stay. Walking distance from Chinatown.

Since it’s in the heart of the city, it can get quite loud (traffic, trucks, other ACs and stuff) - but manageable for us, especially since the hotel provided ear plugs. The windows in our room did not open, so we took advantage of the central air system.

This was also along the cheapest options for us - and we really value design, decor and comfort, so we were really pleased with our stay.

Would recommend and definitely go back !

Excellently appointed. Stylish, great bed and bedding, wonderful staff (Crystal?) Great Maritime restaurant, great value, great location, even great drinks stocked in the fridge. I found a few local favorite to recommend. It's a vibe!

Overall was fine but the refund is vage and till date I didn’t received the money back for the security deposit and I had to call multiple times with no valid answer

Clean, renovated, comfortable

Truly loved my stay here at Pali Hotel SF. Amazing location right in Union Square, easy to get around and walk everywhere. Staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. From the clean room to the beautiful aesthetic design of the entire hotel, this is a must stay spot! I will definitely be back.

I had a terrible experience at the Palihotel. I did not sleep well my entire stay due to excessive noise. My room on the fourth floor was incredibly noisy with loud glass breaking sounds in the courtyard multiple times in the middle of the night. It sounded like someone throwing glass beer bottles into a trash compactor. I heard strange rushing water and creaky pipe sounds all night in my room too. I live downtown in a city on a busy street. I am used to loud traffic and sirens, but this level of noise was unbearable and worse than when I stayed at a hotel in Times Square in Manhattan.

My room was missing a coffee machine (even though the website says every room has a coffee machine) when I checked in at 10pm. The front desk said they couldn't get one for me until tomorrow. The next morning I ran out of shower gel after my first shower. It also took about 15 minutes for my shower to have hot water and the bathroom sink only had cold water my entire stay. The next morning at 7am I asked the front desk to replace the shower gel and the coffee machine while I was out at an all day work event. When I came back exhausted and jet lagged at 9pm, my room was still missing shower gel and the coffee machine. Luckily, after visiting the front desk, a kind woman in housekeeping did give me more shower gel, a coffee machine, and coffee pods.

While the hotel location is great and the decor is stylish, I will not be staying again at the Palihotel during my next work trip to San Francisco, due to the noise, the plumbing, the missing room amenities, and the poor service. On top of everything, after checking out, I was charged for a $5 Snickers bar that I did not touch or eat.
