The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and in a beautiful area.
The screaming kids in the pool. But, that’s kids. They were quiet by 11:00.

I can honestly say I have never written a review about any hotel I have stayed at before about my experience but after staying at the Sheraton this past weekend I feel compelled to do so. We traveled to Minni for a hockey tournament this past weekend and the service was incredible. I can't speak highly enough of how accommodating and friendly the staff was. Unfortunately, my son got sick and made a mess of the room to say the least, we asked the front desk if they could send someone to help clean it which they did promptly, the staff went above and beyond and gave us a new room. We had 4 hockey teams stay there which can be a lot for some hotels, but this staff didn't even bat an eye lash. They offered the kids and the late night parents a place to keep the noise to a minimum in the board rooms for others staying at their hotel who were not part of the festivities. 10 out 10 service!
My check-in experience was fantastic. The front desk clerk was very professional, friendly and helpful. She filled me in on the property features, locations, and times of service.
Everything was great. I will definitely stay there again.
I stayed here for the Lions Club Mid-Winter Conference and couldn’t be more impressed. At first, I struggled to figure out how to book my room under our group, but Sue, the Director of Sales, came to the rescue. She not only helped me secure my reservation but made sure I got exactly the room I needed, right by the elevator! Sue also checked in on our group throughout the event and went above and beyond in every way. Honestly, she’s one of the best professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with in all my years attending Lions events. The entire experience at the Sheraton was a breath of fresh air, and I’m already insisting we return next year.

Noise from the pool area echoed a lot. I think it was because of the design - big open area in the lobby with hotel rooms in an area around the lobby that was open.
Terrible hotel. Room was so cold, it was practically icy. I do not recommend staying here.

The hotel overall is beautiful. The location is nice as it is right next to a mall with great places to eat. This was a great place to stay rather than staying right in MPLS where crime rates are too high for my liking. The breakfast was great and the waiter was so friendly and kind!
The hotel room was 79 degrees all night long. I couldn't sleep at all, not to mention I ended up with strep throat... probably because bacteria is just growing in there. I mentioned it to staff and they said there is basically nothing they can do as it is how their system works in the winter.....
I stayed at the Sheraton Minneapolis West recently and was surprised to see a $542 (with tax) smoking fee added to my credit card after I checked out. I want to be absolutely clear: I do not smoke, and no one in my room smoked or vaped at any point during my stay. I was travelling with a child still in a crib.
What concerns me most is that the hotel provided no actual evidence of smoking. The only explanation I received was that a “sensor” supposedly went off, which they admitted can be triggered by hot showers.
The only sensor event occurred in the middle of a 7-night stay, and nothing was mentioned to me during the stay or at checkout. To discover this charge afterward was extremely disappointing.
After searching online, I also found multiple recent reviews from other guests reporting the same issue at this property, which suggests this is not an isolated incident.
It took 4 phone calls, where I actually got someone to answer to receive a call back. The official statement from the new manager, Mara, was that the GM, Deepak told her that they do not refund for faulty sensor events. I escalated the matter to Marriott, because this does not reflect the level of professionalism or fairness I expect from a Bonvoy property.
The staff I interacted with was outstanding. Sherri in the club lounge and Nicholas at the front desk both deserve 5-star reviews.
I hope the hotel and Marriott review their procedures for verifying smoking allegations before charging guests such a significant fee. A simple claim of a “sensor alert” is not sufficient to penalize guests.

Great location. No street or traffic noise; however internal noise. Rooms are spacious.
No ice machine, need to go to front desk for ice. Breakfast is overpriced.
