I live nearby and was having a horrible day where my basement flooded and AC broke. I booked this hotel for my family for the night until I could get things fixed. Kendra and McKenzie right away made me feel at home and gave me vouchers given my situation. They were extremely friendly and turned a horrible day into a great night. Thank you!
I like the location of the property for where I was going on this trip.
The rooms are in need of upgrading. At first they wanted to put us in an interior room that can best be described as a closet with an inside window. The room we finally ended up in was much better but could use an upgrade.
Clean rooms convenient location

Sheraton Minneapolis West has truly become my go‑to hotel whenever I’m in Minnetonka, and this stay reminded me exactly why. Joseph has done it again — his superb service, patience, and professionalism while handling the front desk alone is nothing short of impressive. He consistently makes check‑in smooth and welcoming. Thank you, Mackenzie, for your kind and encouraging words my angel in disguise. Love and appreciate you. I also want to highlight Kendra, who is an absolute gem. She’s encouraging, helpful, and manages a busy front desk with ease. Her upbeat spirit and that smile of pure gold brighten the entire lobby. She multitasks effortlessly and treats every guest with genuine care. I sincerely recommend she be considered for a management position she has all the qualities of a true leader.
Veronica at the bar deserves her flowers too. She is such a sweetheart. She remembered my drinks, made fantastic recommendations, and showed incredible patience. She treated me like the queen that I am, and I appreciated every moment of her hospitality. Thank you, ladies and sir, for the OUTSTANDING SERVICE.
This hotel has everything I need — the mall right across the street, a beautiful walking trail, and a peaceful atmosphere. I absolutely loved my stay while preparing my house, and I’m happy to say this is officially my favorite place to stay in Minnetonka.
Thank you again, Joseph, Mackenzie, Veronica and Enesto at breakfast, Sheraton Minneapolis West team that served me. You all make every visit special.
When we first checked in, we were given a room without a full sized closet. We couldn't hang our clothes without them dragging on the floor. Fortunately, they were able to give us a different room.
In spite of the atrium design, the room that we had was quiet.
Absolutely flabbergasted to be told that we had to pay for parking with an app from "a third party". We also got mixed messages about whether this was actually necessary. I have stayed here in the past and did not have to pay for parking. I will NOT stay here again with this ridiculous system for a suburban hotel.
The location was great.
The staff was not all that friendly or helpful. The hotel was dark.
Came here for work, usually book Hilton but my manager recommended this place and I’m up for promotion this quarter.
Anyway… I was charged $7.05 for a 16oz can of sparkling water. That’s absolutely nuts, I’ve traveled far and wide and I’ve never paid that much for 16oz of my favorite drink, as an avid sparkling water drinker this hurts, I feel targeted.
The customer service here is great, love the layout and my stay was exceptional, but I feel like I got robbed :(
Staff was very helpful and accommodating. breakfast was great. Front desk Brandon and the young ladies were cheerful, knowledgeable willing to help etc

⭐☆☆☆☆ ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD
I woke up during my stay to find my hotel room flooded with contaminated toilet water. The water spread throughout the room, damaging my personal property, including electronics, clothing, and other belongings.
The flooding itself was bad enough, but what happened afterward was even more concerning.
After the incident, I personally observed hotel staff placing fans in the room to dry it out. What I found troubling was that, to my knowledge, the carpet was not replaced, and I later observed the room being rented to another guest. As a customer, this raised serious concerns for me regarding cleanliness, sanitation, and how the situation was handled after a room had been contaminated by toilet water.
I immediately reported the incident, took photographs, recorded video, provided receipts, and submitted documentation for the damaged property. Despite my cooperation, I have spent weeks attempting to obtain updates regarding my claim.
The claim was referred to Gallagher Bassett, and I have communicated with Senior Resolution Manager Abby G. Corter. I have also communicated with General Manager Deepak Subbaiah. Unfortunately, obtaining updates and meaningful communication regarding my damaged property has been extremely difficult.
As a paying guest, I expected a safe and properly maintained room. After my property was damaged through no fault of my own, I expected accountability, communication, and prompt resolution. Instead, I have experienced delays, frustration, and a lack of urgency.
I have photographs, videos, receipts, and documentation supporting the flooding incident and the resulting damage.
If you stay here, I strongly recommend documenting everything and carefully inspecting your room. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I will continue to update this review as the claim progresses.
Very disappointing experience and not what I expected from a Marriott-branded property.
Staff was wonderful from Brandon and the young ladies at the front desk to the kitchen people in the morning. The hotel was very clean including the fitness center and the room House keeping did a great job. This is a great location Near shops, not far from art gallery or even history museum. Everyone was very helpful.
It was close to the mall and many other places. The pool was great and the hot tub too! I like how the main entrance opened up so you can see all the way up to the top floor. My daughter especially liked the glass elevators.
That I had to pay for parking. For what it costs to get a room parking should be free. That parking lot is big enough. The parking lot is not that great it’s very bumpy. If I have to pay for parking that money better be going towards a new parking lot.
this is a really beautiful hotel and very reasonably priced. However, I had to wait for quite a few minutes to have someone arrive at the front desk to check me in. There was absolutely no one else anywhere in the lobby. The other downside to our stay was the bathroom in room 354. The toilet was so low that if you have any difficulty at all getting up without any handholds. It was an almost impossible situation.
While I was checking in I overheard a staff member say the f word, which caught me by surprise especially since a guest was right there. I brushed it off and went to my room. A few minutes later I called down to the front desk to ask if I could get a fan as it was very noisy from the pool. The lady acted very annoyed and laughed at me (the same one that said the f word when I was checking in). She was beyond rude for a basic request. I went downstairs hoping to find someone other than this lady but she was the only one there. Immediately she started giving me attitude and calling me "entitled" and telling me she doesn't need this job (not sure why she brought that up but ok). I started recording her and she took her attitude down a bit but said I was provoking her. Another employee came over (with a beer in his hand, smelling of alcohol) and said he was a "peace-keeper" and he deals with families all the time. I asked him about the beer in his hand and then he got defensive and said by me saying that was a "sure sign of mental health issues". I felt extremely unsafe by the treatment of these two employees so called Marriott. I've never had such a horrible experience in my life.
The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and in a beautiful area.
The screaming kids in the pool. But, that’s kids. They were quiet by 11:00.
It was well managed and a clean environment
It was nothing to not like everything was outstanding
The bed is very extremely comfortable
There’s no microwave in the room
I can honestly say I have never written a review about any hotel I have stayed at before about my experience but after staying at the Sheraton this past weekend I feel compelled to do so. We traveled to Minni for a hockey tournament this past weekend and the service was incredible. I can't speak highly enough of how accommodating and friendly the staff was. Unfortunately, my son got sick and made a mess of the room to say the least, we asked the front desk if they could send someone to help clean it which they did promptly, the staff went above and beyond and gave us a new room. We had 4 hockey teams stay there which can be a lot for some hotels, but this staff didn't even bat an eye lash. They offered the kids and the late night parents a place to keep the noise to a minimum in the board rooms for others staying at their hotel who were not part of the festivities. 10 out 10 service!
