Staff was great all round. Attentive and respectable. Anna, Ashley, and Tim were particularly notable. Cleaning staff, Gloria, attentive but not intrusive. Excellent.
One elevator out of 2 was not working for my entire stay, and this for the size of the place is not only an inconvenience but. a bit of a worry.A
I really appreciate how clean the hotel was. All of the tables and chairs in the lobby was clean and comfy. Very welcoming upon arrival. The rooms were clean and plenty of towels left in the room. I really appreciate how there are two sinks in the room to accommodate larger families. In addition, the rooms are very spacious giving larger families much more wiggle room. Lastly, I appreciate most that the Hyatt includes pets in their hotel. We will definitely use Hyatt as our hotel of choice for our future trips. Thank you to the beautiful and gracious staff for an amazing stay.
We have no complaints. Everything was great.
Clean, breakfast was amazing
The shower was small, piecemeal together. Not well remodeled
Booking.com messed up my reservation and double-charged me. The hotel fixed it. I was so thankful. And, the best breakfast ever - with fresh fruits and berries galore
Fresh looking lobby
Staff friendly
Room clean,neat,temperature was very cool
Nothing just checked in , left to buy fried chicken, drove back to hotel, watched TV ,slept & left next morning early
The location is great. The staff is wonderful. Nicole at the front desk is wicked nice n helpful.
I liked it all
We loved the location. Close to plenty of shopping and eating. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was big and comfortable. Parking was easy to find a spot.
The parking spots were a bit small but nothing dramatic.
Hot,, variety
Convenient location near many restaurants. Every staff member smiled and spoke to us. They were extremely helpful too. Room was thoughtfully designed with lots of touches you wouldn’t expect. Very comfortable for the 3 of us to sit and watch tv in the evening. Great breakfast!
Bathroom (the room with toilet and shower) was very tight and hard to change clothes in. That was the only negative.
Location, cleanliness, comfort, customer service.
The bathroom. I wish it was bigger and away from the bed area. The layout of it was weird.
We have stayed at a Hyatt Place on many occasions in several states. To say that the Hyatt Place Albuquerque/Uptown is in need of maintenance and staff training is an understatement. Below is a list of items we found to be very substandard for any Hyatt property:
1. Front desk staff had no idea how to find tech support or the number to contact for Wi-Fi authentication of devices which cannot stay connected to Wi-Fi. It took a phone call to management and over an hour for desk staff to locate the 3rd party tech support number.
2. The luggage carts at the hotel entrance had 3 small wheels and were so cheaply made luggage would not stay on the carts, and you could barely push or steer the carts with luggage because the small wheels dug into the carpet.
3. The west EMERGENCY exit has a pad lock on it. So much for fire safety.
4. The ladies' bathroom on the main floor has a toilet with a non-functioning auto flush, and it can't be flushed manually with a push button.
5. The hotel sliding airlock inner doors were off the tracks and would not shut. This forced guests trying to eat breakfast to wear winter coats, since 35-40 degree air flooded the lobby every time the outer airlock doors opened.
6. The heavy steel door to the bathroom in our room (423) scrapped the floor to the point that the door was hard to open and close.
7. The automatic toaster in the breakfast area was non-functional. Guests had to use tongs to pry stuck toast out of the toaster.
8. Several dark stains were on the carpet in our room. Pillows and the mattress belonged in a cheap 1980s era motel, not a Hyatt Place.
9. Forget trying to cast any of your streaming app subscriptions to the TVs. The TVs have very few channels and should have been replaced years ago with newer models with casting capabilities. We had to resort to watching Netflix using my computer. It was better than nothing, but not much.
10. The door handle on the main level (east stairwell) is broken and permanently open. Anyone coming in the main entrance could access the stairs and have access to the guest rooms on all floors. Why require card access to elevator functions when anyone can access guest floors via the stairwell?
11. The breakfast was subpar in many ways. An hour before breakfast closed, there were no spoons, no cow's milk, no one taking stacked dirty dishes away to be washed. Dirty dishes were stacked so high they were on the verge of crashing to the floor. 12. The only positives in our 3 night stay were the cleaning ladies who were very friendly and worked tirelessly, along with the hotels' proximity to the ABQ/Uptown shopping area.
