Comfort Inn & Suites Huntington Beach

I'm actually very disappointed in my room. First, I reserved the room on Booking.com.  I  clicked on 2 beds. After I confirmed everything it said one king and a sofa bed. I was expecting 2 beds, not a couch I had to struggle with to open up. I told the woman when I checked in and she said I couldn't change it.

Then when I pulled the covers back on the regular bed and there was a wad of hair and a wad of threads or strings added together on the sheet. Also some black specks on the sheet.

Also, my granddaughter showered and she said the bathtub was nasty and there was a lot of hair in the tub and the water didn't drain. She had to stand in about 6 inches of dirty water while she showered. Also, her sofa bed had crumbs or something on the sheet. Very unhappy with this room and hotel. We won't be coming back.

Had a constant problem with room keys not working. Management less than great! Staff willing to help with problems they were unable to solve.

I didn't have any complaints. My husband, my daughter, and I had a great time. It was not my first time here, so I definitely will continue to go back to this hotel. Thank you for asking about our stay.

Everything was wonderful just need air for the luggage cart tires.

Property is old and needs some TLC. Lighting in bathroom was just too dim and dingy.

Bathroom was clean but there were quite a few hairs on the floor. Not allowed to take our breakfast to our room. Room above us was very loud regarding footsteps and jumping.

The breakfast was terrible. Tge pancakes were like plastic pucks. Not the safest area. Alot of homeless activity in and around the parking lot would not recommend staying with children. Good for maybe a quick night stay and thats it.

When I arrived there were three people at the front counter working, a check in clerk, a trainee, and a shift manager. There was one guest in front of me. My wait to check in was longer than ten minutes. The manager, a woman in her thirties I would guess, wearing a dress that that was so short and tight that if she took a deep breath I thought all the seams would burst, and as for bending over, my heavens! The entire time I was waiting to check in, watching the trainee struggling through checking in the guest with a bit of help from the other clerk, the shift manager stood at the end of the counter and played on her phone. The only time she would look up from her game/chat, would be to correct the training clerks answers. After I was finally checked in, and in my room, I could not get the internet to connect. I have done this dozens of times at hotels all over, however after trying everything I could think of and still having no luck, I called the front desk for help. They explained that all I needed to do was select their network and it would take me to the sign in page. I explained that it would not take me to the sign in page, but rather told me the network was unavailable, the reply to that was to be told that of all the guests in the hotel, I was the only person having any issues with the internet. I gathered my phone and IPad and headed down to the desk again, where I again waited for another guest to be checked in. I asked the clerk if she would help me, as I could not get internet service. After attempting many times, she turned to the manager and said “this is the lady that has a problem with the internet,” and asked the manager if she would help me. After rolling her eyes she took my phone and tried several times to get the internet to open. After being unsuccessful, and without a word, she left the counter for a few minutes into the back. When she returned, she attempted again to log my phone in, this time with success.

Air conditioner wasnt working when we got there...they tried to fix it for a few hours and ultimately i just asked for a box fan for the night, thinking theyd fix it the next day. Came back to the room the next evening and the front desk female basically called me a liar when I told her our air conditioner had not been fixed until maintenance confirmed it, she was rude and i wasnt even pissed until she treated me like a liar -the night maintenance guy was awesome and got me a working ac. The bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work so there is major water damage to the door/walls/fixtures in the bathroom. This was my go to but this experience made me find a new hotel, probably will not be back anytime soon.

The manager was really mean talking to me through the phone from his room looking at the cameras he said judging me and my service animal and said i would have to pay a $300 fee just to have my service animal there. He is a service animal in training for chronic PTSD . I had all my paperwork and he said I was a liar. I felt attacked. I’ve never been rejected from a property in my life until that night.
