It was good, peaceful and affordable. A non smoking place and very easy to check in and out.

Cons:

The rug in the room and the area by the door handle were dirty. I had to use a towel to clean up the area by the bathroom door. Apparently the people that were there before us had dirty hands.

The pool was unusable it has a 100 dep the elevator didn't work (we were on the 3 floor) no person at the desk you checked in with a machine thing.

Will never stay at your hotel again
Pros:

Nothing. We shouted up to the property and actually had to call and ask for the exact address as we thought we were in the wrong location. Windows were covered in plastic and the pool had caution tape around the doors to the pool of green water. Even the large Laquita signage was missing. We thought we had showed up to an abandoned hotel
Very disappointed that the pool was closed as that was the ONLY reason for our hotel stay. We had had a horrible week in Florida clearing out our family home and had one more day in Florida and so we decided to book a room with a pool to relax the last day of our visit
We were in communication via texting with an employee regarding our reservation. The responded very quickly with the correct address. We then responded “please cancel our reservation”. That was at 6:12 pm.

No response.
So we went down the road to another hotel.
Then I saw a pending charge on my credit card
So I texted “please confirm our cancellation “.
Again. No response

Three hours later at 8:44 they responded that “the hotel is open and operational”

I said the windows were all covered I plastic

They responded that was because of the paint work going on

I said we thought the hotel was closed and we didn’t feel comfortable even getting out of the car. The hotel looked like a construction zone

This was on Friday and there was no response after that

Until Sunday when I asked why I was charged for the entire cost of the room

I was told in a text message that I had to cancel with 24 hour notice or I am subjected to the full cost of the room

I replied that I had booked the room via booking.com at noon that same day.

The pool was closed and renovations and painting was going on and this was not disclosed to us at time of booking

The hallway carpet could use a good deep cleaning and I hate when you all think painting over spots in a tub will make the tub look clean. Trust me. It Doesn't! 😞

AWFUL.
Pros:

Nothing besides it was only 15 mins away from downtown Tampa

Cons:

I would NEVER go inside there again let alone stay the night. Bugs, stains, and hair are everywhere over every part of the room. There is no way they have ever cleaned the room we received. We put our luggage on the ground for my 5 minutes and left with small bugs falling off. The building smells and the staff is rude. You have to use a kiosks to check in with a guy named Tim who you can only hear when he’s not yelling. I would give 0/10 if possible and I will NEVER stay at another la Quinta in due to this. It was also incredibly difficult to get a refund, they kept trying to switch us to a different room when in fact the entire building smelled and had bugs.
