Shilo Inn Elko

This property is old and in desperate need of upgrades. It smells old and we didn’t feel safe there. Didn’t sleep much.

It was a good room but could use some updating and make sure the hot tub is working

Sheets were not changed on the beds. We found a dirty sock and a pacifier in the beds. Reported to desk with no result. That’s really awful to sleep in somebody else’s bed when the sheets have been already slept in.

This places needs a major overhaul the washer and dryer needs to be replaced

Front desk staff was amazing as always

The building could use a remodel, but the staff seem to care and do what they can with what they have.

The location

Pool was down and which was main reason we choose there. Also the hotel seemed a little on the dirty side. So after check in my wife said for us to just continue driving.

Really run down hotel. The curtains were torn and ratty. The panel was useless on the air conditioner controls. Part of it was missing. The hotel hallways smelled like mold and garbage, and obviously worn and very dirty. It was disgusting. The desk clerks didn't care when we told them, they just shrugged and said call the corporate office. The outside of the building was overrun with weeds. Pool and hot tub were empty, gym room was closed.

Staff very hospitable but property desperately needs to be renovated. Moldy carpet, dated interiors, and less than desirable guests.

Quick clean friendly would stop again

My main filter was for a pool and hot tub... neither was available for 3 out of 4 days. When the hot tub was available (last day) the jets were horrible. The room was dirty. The sink had scum all the way around it. A kitchen was in the room however no silverware or items to use it. I'm so very disappointed.

Traveling through Elko. Great place if you have a dog. Shopping mall within walking distance makes food options easy.

Better bring your own towels for room shower or bath and pool because house keeping did not restock towels for my room and there was no pool towel either. Just bad

Place needs some updating and deep cleaning

Pool was dirty and cloudy same with the hot tub was very dirty and things floating in it. I booked this room because I mainly wanted to go swimming but the pool was honestly disgusting and I normally don’t complain because I’m pretty easy going, but I didn’t even want to use the pool or hot tub the room was good no issues in the room but the property on the outside of my room was really just rundown. You could tell that it’s supposed to be like the cheapest around.

Clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating for handicapped accessible room and parking right outside of entrance and room! Extended our stay last minute and hotel staff was extremely helpful! Pool area needs some upgrades and work but was still very relaxing for me and fun for my Son!
