Stunning apartment
Pros:

Excellent location, next door to Holyroodhouse. Immaculate apartment with great view. Super comfortable bed, pillows and duvet. Lovely bathroom with great shower etc. products. And a pint of milk in the fridge! I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Cons:

Would have preferred a microwave to an oven. Very steep stairs to tower apartments. Do-able but not easy!

A great 2 bedroom apartment beside the Palace
Pros:

Great location right beside the Palace. Lovely modern apartment in old building nicely decorated. Plenty of space to relax. Quiet and able to sllep well.

Cons:

The apartment location is tricky to find and should be more easily described. A small issue but the while the bathrooms are modern, there is nowhere to place the supplied products except on the floor of the shower, which is difficult and dangerous if you are older.

Loved the stay but very poor communication with customer service
Pros:

Communication with staff was challenging
Code provided didn’t work
Call to number provided and no one answers so we cannot access after a long flight
First person we are able to reach claims she doesn’t deal with this location
Eventually housekeeper lets us in and we contact a Second Gentleman who was very helpful

Excellent location in convenient and stylish apartment!
Pros:

Really lovely location, easy and walkable distance to both old and new town in Edinburgh, and right by the park. Loved the layout of the apartment, particularly great for young families! Loved that the bathroom had access from both the bedroom and the hallway. The staff set up a cot for our baby with blankets provided which was a nice touch given this was our first weekend away with our baby.

ACHTUNG! Wir haben diese 5 Sterne Unterkunft gebucht und standen am Anreisetag trotz Bestätigung vor verschlossener Tür.

Uns wurde kein Zugangscode übermittelt und es gibt vor Ort keine physische Rezeption.

Der Versuch das Problem über die angegebenen Telefonnummern zu lösen endete in einer Katastrophe. Zuerst hat noch jemand abgehoben und als ich erklärte worum es ging wurde einfach aufgelegt. Bei weiteren Anrufversuchen wurde gar nicht mehr abgehoben.
Der in den Unterlagen aufgeführte Betreiber (Cheval Collection) informierte mich dann, dass sie schon letztes Jahr die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Abbey Strand Apartment beendet hätten.

Wir kamen grade von einem zwei Wochen Wandern / Camping Urlaub in den Highlands und wurden Abends einfach mit all unseren Sachen auf der Straße sitzen lassen. Nur Dank dem support von Booking.com sind wir dort noch weg und in ein super Hotel (Royal Scots Club) gekommen. Ein solches Totalversagen und die anscheinend bewusste Verweigerung von Hilfe am Telefon ist für ein Hotel absolut inakzeptabel. Und das hier soll 5 Sterne haben ?

Ein solches Verhalten ist zudem grob Fahrlässig und potentiell lebensgefährlich:
Wenn hier ältere Menschen, Familien mit kleinen Kindern in der Hitze oder Menschen die auf gekühlte Medikamente angewiesen sind (wie Insulin P


atienten) einfach AUSGESPERRT werden, kann das eine absolute Katastrophe nach sich ziehen.

Ich rate nur dieses Hotel zu buchen, wenn man kein Problem damit hat abends ohne Obdach in Edinburgh zu stehen.

Amazing and will definitely book again when I next visit Edinburgh.

This place is fantastic! Real mix of old and modern with a really luxurious and comfortable feel. Had absolutely everything we could have wanted. The beds were very comfortable, the toiletries were beautiful and the views of Arthur’s seat were amazing. Location is brilliant and so close to the royal mile. There is nothing I could fault about this place other than I wish we could have stayed longer than the one night. Really easy check in and a no fuss check out. Also, amazing to wake up to the sound of bagpipes in the morning, something special!
