Mooie kamers met leuke inrichting op centrale plek
Pros:

Hele leuke en originele kamerinrichting. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en heel goede ligging. Kamers waren ook zeer ruim en hadden een onsen achtige badkamer. Een leuk kleinschalig complex met een zeer goed ontbijt.

Cons:

Omdat het wat kleiner is heeft het weinig andere faciliteiten. Maar voor ons was dat geen probleem. Het was een klein beetje gehorig. Verder geen aanmerkingen.

Hier bekommt man nicht nur Souveniers, sondern auch einzigartige Erinnerungen.
Pros:

Die größe des Zimmers - sehr geräumig! Glätteisen/Lockenstab + Föhn vorhanden (und auf Hochglanz gesäubert!)
Die Lage ist super - man erreicht alles zu Fuß. Takayama an sich ist sehr empfehlenswert und hat viel mehr zu bieten als man denkt - Tempelwanderung, Sakeverkostung ecct. (Retromuseum ist ein Muss!)

Cons:

Nachts gab es ein Geräusch wie von einer Klima oder einem Kühlschrank.. uns hat es nicht gestört aber wenn jemand einen leichten Schlaf hat, kann er es sicher mit dem Hotelpersonal abklären, wovon es kommt und ob man es abstellen kann.

In den „japanischen Alpen“
Pros:

Super Lage um Takayama zu erkunden: ca. 200m vom Busbahnhof entfernt. Freundliche Mitarbeiter. Gute Kaffe und Tee Auswahl fürs Hotelzimmer. Kein Frühstücksbuffet, aber trotzdem ein sehr gutes Frühstück mit einer vegetarischen Variante.

Pros:

The cafe downstairs was excellent with varied options.

Cons:

We were not told that you needed a passcode to enter the hotel after 8:00pm. We tried calling the number on the code box but no one answered our calls. We had to get help from another hotel who got in touch with hotel staff. They were very apologetic the next morning and gave us coupons for drinks. I think the front staff when we checked in was so busy with all of us checking in. Honest mistake.

We had a great stay and would highly recommend staying at the eph.
Pros:

The room was big, with comfortable beds and self service laundry was easy. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location was very close to the bus depot, but still close to old town.

Cons:

Nothing.

The location was central excellent for all amenities. The breakfast was very good.

Cons:

Only minor grumble was the cafe closed relatively early.

Very nice hotel
Pros:

Location close to station. The rooms are very nice, particularly the shower but the space is a little tight. The breakfast is delicious. Expensive but it was on the days of the festival.
