Takayama is a great town to explore, the old town, shrine, river banks and local streets make for great exploring. The

Great location, easy walking distance to all main tourist areas, rooms are modern and spotless, area is quiet in the evening. Good range of places to eat and drink nearby. Friendly staff and good western style coffee shop.

Cons:

The washer/dryer in the area outside my room was noisey at night and the smell of the washing detergent came into my room. Perhaps limit the times it can be used and use unperturbed detergent.

Die Lage und die Zimmer sind top! Besonders die Bambusbadewanne ist ein Highlight. Frühstück gibt es im Restaurant unter dem Hotel. Zudem sind auf den meisten Etagen Waschmaschinen und Trockner.

Comfortable, friendly and close to everything.
Pros:

Conveniently close to the train and bus stations. Super comfy beds and we had the best sleep here because we could lower the room temperature sufficiently for sleeping. Great cafe within the building for breakfast and lunch.

Cons:

We were on floor 5 and the people above us were very heavy footed which was loud and annoying when they were in the room.

Superbe!
Pros:

Notre chambre lits jumeaux était tout simplement superbe (le meilleur hôtel de notre séjour au Japon)! Elle était spacieuse, propre, moderne, avec des lits confortables. La salle de bain tout en bois était belle, pratique et bien conçue. La toilette était séparée du reste de la salle de bain et avait son propre lavabo, ce qui était très pratique aussi. Le personnel était chaleureux et l'hôtel est très bien situé, permettant de venir directement de la gare à pied et de pouvoir explorer facilement tout le centre-ville à pied. Bref, nous avons adoré notre séjour à eph Takayama!
