The availability of everything
Our room was hot. Had to buy a fan to tolerate the evening
Service by pool was awesome.
Sweet shack closed early for a “resort.” Food was very overpriced but expected it to be.
The lazy river and pool were amazing! We loved that part.
Our room was warm. It said 67 when we got there, but we were sweating. I turned it down to 65 and then to 62. I told the desk clerk and she sent maintenance, but we didn’t feel much difference. I bought a fan just to be comfortable at night. It was cooler and we slept with no covers. Also, the toilet seat was completely detached from the toilet. I also told the desk clerk and she sent maintenance. They reattached one side, but the other side was still detached and the seat moved. We were supposed to check out on Thursday, but chose to take the loss and go home on Wednesday afternoon to be comfortable at night.
Everywhere we went the staff excelled. They made the trip special by treating us as if they were glad to see us. Everyone seemed to enjoy their work. From waitresses to pool people, we did not meet anyone who seemed disgruntled.
The pool has slides for kids and separate for older people. The lazy river was wonderful. The water is salty so the chlorine did not hurt our skin & hair. There is a sweet shop at the pool with ice creams, also a swim up bar. You can order food from the Oasis Grill and they will deliever to the pool area. I had pizza. It was good. My son had chicken tenders and waffle sweet potato fries. He said it was good, but not as good as Hippi Fish. Let me say now, Hippie Fish food is hard to beat. We had breakfast at the Oasis Grill. I had a latte and the vegetable omelet. Both were very good. Madi served us. She was kind and helpful. One of the star staff that made our visit spectacular. My son had potatoes, bacon and fruit with hot tea. He enjoyed it all. The fruit was fresh.
Hippie Fish. We ate there for lunch, dinner and a snack. It was all delicious. The fries are not frozen. They are wonderful as was the fried okra and the onion rings. The hamburgers and fried tenders were yummy. I had a side salad. It was all very fresh. The deserts were to die for. We were so full after the generous meal portions, we came one day for a snack of deserts and milk alone. Our waitress, Celia, was certainly a star. She made our experience memorable. A truly lovely human being. We met the manager. She was fantastic as well. We played the 2 floor game rooms at Hippie Fish. They offer a wide variety so the young and the old can find things they enjoy playing. We played one of the 18 hole mini golf during the day, and came back to do the other 18 hole course at night. My son enjoyed the glow ball as much as the game. Hippie Fish mini golf course, game room and restaurant all all extremely clean. Well kept.
It is pricy, but much less than Disney and lots of fun.
We stayed at "The Oasis." It was nice but the beds are little hard for my taste. I sleep on a marshmallow at home so others may like the firmness. The room was not as clean as I hoped. I had towel issues, but the staff brought more. The toliet seat was not in well and came off. The room was not extremely dirty, just not as well kept as I like. All of the good far outweighed these issues. This is where you go for the fun & food. I was told the Cenntinnel is more plush and the Oasis family style. I look forward to returning to experience and review the Centennial rooms in the future. My final comment is "GO!" It is pricy, but less expensive than Disney or Universal. You need a minimum two nights to do all we did, and three nights so you do not need a rest after your vacation.
Everything we needed was right there. The kids were kept busy with the water park, arcade, mini golf, and restaurants. We had a great time.
Some of the employees were not overly helpful or friendly. But, there were some that went beyond their job to help us.
Water park
We booked three rooms and all of them that air-conditioning was broken. The bathrooms are so small you can barely close the door without running into the toilet. The parking is atrocious. There is nowhere to park. They won’t allow you to bring any drinks or snacks into the pool without making you buy the food or drink drinks overall I think it was very expensive for going through all that.
We took 5 grandkid supper with us and our first room had NO air. They moved us immediately into a much larger room WITH air that was very cool.
We had no dislikes
Nice facility, nice little water area.
Hard to find parking.
Convenient to everything!
Close to a lot of things
Sheets not cleaned
We loved the location. The pool area was great! We loved the arcade. It’s a great place for families with small kids.
My husband and I ate breakfast there before leaving and it was not the best.
It’s got a water park plus walking distance to the beach
If you stay at Oasis you should have a parking ticket half of the time we had to park across the street cause there was no parking in front of our hotel
