Berkeley Court Hotel

Looked like it had never been cleaned, so dirty, black mould everywhere, stains on the furniture. I've been requesting a full refund as it was not possible to stay in the room due to how disgusting and unsanitary it was and still no response from the hotel. Appalling experience, avoid at all costs.

Please pay a little more but go to any other place.

Could do with lick paint and clean

Mis à part la gentillesse et la serviabilité du personnel, l'hôtel et la chambre sont lamentablement et complètement délabrés et en piteux état et du coup ne vaut pas le prix demandé .. on passe par un escalier avec moquette rouge branlant pleins de marchés abîmés, la porte de la chambre toute abîmée avec l'ancienne serrure auditionné d'une nouvelle serrure à clefs, laisse une chambre , cette avec du parquet , mais d'un autre âge, 3 lits métalliques, grinçants avec des matelas uses jusqu'aux ressorts, une fenêtre coulissante coincée que l'on ne sait plus fermer, donnant sur les arrières, aucune table ou chaise ou armoire pour poser quoique ce soit.. une porte de salé de bains battante, qui ne ferme absolument pas, on a dû la bloquer avec nos chaussures... Le sol de celle-ci était recouvert d'un vinyle vieux de 50 ans qui laissait entrevoir les trous du plancher et planches brisées par l'humidité des infiltrations d'eau, puisque de l'eau sortait de l'arrière de la cuvette de la toilette, parlons de l'État de la baignoire , munie d'un pommeau de douche, un tout de 2 cm de diamètre empêcherait tout plaisir de prendre un bain, sans compter qu'il n'y avait même pas de bouchons, ni même de quoi placer celui-ci. L'évier n'en possédait pas non plus. La lampe au-dessus de l'évier était complètement détruite et laissait présager une électrocution ou un court circuit... Bref , un vrai scandale.. et d'une insalubrité extraordinaire

The hotel is filthy, dated, falling apart actually. Two single beds fired into a basement room that wasn't big enough to take them. One bed was shoved up again a desk, it didn't even have a headboard or a wall to stop the pillow. The sockets were falling off the wall. The walls were filthy, the light fixtures were broken. The bathroom smelt like a urinal and the shower was full of mold. The towels were stained and the mattress' on the beds should have been binned 15 years ago. Hands down the worst place I have ever stayed in my life.

First room I was given was dirty and havnt even been cleaned and had black mold in the shower and toilet still had stains in

Second rooms was still dirty and look like it hadn’t been cleaned with previous guests rubbish still there

Only bad thing about our room was no opening window and vent in the window was broken, thank god we had 3 handheld fans between the 2 of us.

Berkeley Court Hotel is one of the worst hotels in London and is a completely unethical operation. It's filthy dirty: the cleaners do not do their jobs properly. The receptionist ignored messages and continually lied when questioned. I asked to speak to management and he claimed he had no contact information for them. I then asked who employed him and he refused to give that information. Furthermore, I suspect some of the workers are illegal. The cleaner could not speak English. Due to their country of origin, I expect the hotel management are not paying them minimum wage. I will be reporting all of this to the council, including health and safety concerns.
In addition to the filth and bad smells, there is no WiFi available, and no fans. It was 34 degrees centigrade and I was sweating significantly. The hotel refused to provide a fan and said I should bring my own. A small fan would have cost them as little as 10 or 15 pounds. This shows their miserly attitude and complete disregard for the experience of guests.
On my way out, a number of guests in the hallway were discussing how terrible they thought the hotel was. I am amazed this place is allowed to exist and continue operations. It appears to be owned by the Leventis family. Their aim is to make as much money as possible, while spending as little as possible on wages and maintenance.

No complimentary tea and coffee or kettle in the room. Nowhere to hang clothes, not even a coat hook. Hand soap was provided but no complimentary shower gel or shampoo. Only 2 towels provided. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. No air con or even a fan - I stayed on one of the hottest days (and nights) of the year so couldn't get comfortable in the 3rd floor room even with the window fully open (It was also the night when England beat Denmark in the World Cup so the noise coming from outside with people blaring car horns and singing and shouting hours after the game ended was unbearable - although I can't really blame the hotel for that!!)

We had bed bugs in our hotel room and were forced to change rooms in the middle of the night.
